Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends May 7th
In the third edition of our bi-weekly news roundup, it's all about Basel, Basel, Basel. Baselworld 2013 has just concluded and while many are understandably quite disappointed that we didn't get a brand new Daytona, there's still a lot of other interesting watches on show. And here are some of my favorite articles of Baselworld 2013 from watches-dealer and around the Internet. But that's not all, we also checkout an interesting interview with Laurent Picciotto and also an interesting article of how you can share your love of watches and watch collecting with your partner.1. Hublot MP-05 LaFerrari Watch With Power For 50 DaysIn late November 2011, Hublot and Ferrari entered into an exclusive partnership which saw the Swiss watchmaker become the official watch and timekeeper for Ferrari. At Basel, Hublot unveiled the MP-05 LaFerrari watch, which incorporates design elements from Ferrari's latest LaFerrari hypercar. Like the car, the watch is quite stunning to behold. This is mainly due to
Introducing: The New Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer, Now With Chromalight Display, Updated Hands, A
With habitual punctuality, Rolex unveiled their entire 2016 lineup on Press Day at exactly 12 p.m. As ever, it features many of the company’s classic models, updated with novel features. However, they also introduced some big surprises, such as a stainless steel Daytona with black ceramic bezel and an Oyster Perpetual Explorer with Chomalight display. 1 OF 3 The watch pictured above here is not a customized Rolex. Far from it. It's the latest Explorer which now comes with a new luminescent material inside the model’s familiar 3, 6, and 9 numerals as well as in the hour markers. Called Chromalight, this exclusive material emits an intense blue glow, which increases the legibility of the dial significantly in low light conditions. 2 OF 3 Rolex has also revisited the hour and minute hands. They are broader and longer than in previous models. The case is otherwise unchanged. Made in 904L steel, it measures a cool 39 mm. Inside, the watch houses c
reliability AP vs Rolex
I really hate these threads so I'm cringing as I write this but this is something that is in my mind. I received my annual bonus this year and lets just say Alot more After holding off for over a year I am going to have the opportunity to take the first step and rewarding myself with my first fully self funded luxury watch. This watch will be my new daily wearer and I have two targets in mind a blue dialed RO or a Rolex blue stick dial DJ2 with smooth bezel. Besides all of the differences which I think I am aware of my question is will the AP have the same reliability to daily wear. While I have a pretty laid back desk job I would say I like to wear my watch care free. So here is my question... If reliability was the only factor for a daily wearer do you see any difference between Rolex and AP?
Another Seamaster 'Serial No. Question'
I have a MY 2000+ Sea master Chrono, with no serial number at the 7 o'clock position on rear of lug. It was purchased new on the internet, and I am positive its legit. The papers and box were not retained, so I can't use them to validate authenticity, to have serviced or even out up for sale.Any and all help would be greatly appreciated for this perfect condition stainless Sea master.
i know this question is stupid...
