Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 L'Empreinte Du Dragon Watch With Engraved Scales
This one-of-a-kind "piece unique" watch from Vacheron Constantin comes with a case that has been hand-engraved with a dragon scales motif and a sensible price of over $500,000. For 2014, at the Watches & Wonders show in Hong Kong, comes the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 L'Empreinte Du Dragon timepiece. The dragon theme is more than likely in honor of the powerful Chinese Zodiac sign, but I prefer to think of it as being in honor of dragons we came to know in 2014. In any event, it will be about a decade until it becomes the year of the dragon once again. So in honor of dragons, I decided to listen to the Game of Thrones opening theme on repeat while writing this article on the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 L'Empreinte Du Dragon watch. So that you too can enjoy a similar journey, I've embedded a video with the Game of Thrones HBO show opening theme that repeats for over two hours below. You should play it before proceeding. With the classic looks o
Water got into dial
My worst nightmare has just come true. I adjusted the bezel on the CE diver and screwed the crown down pretty firmly I have to say. Showered and cleaned the watch with a soft tooth brush as usual. An hour later, I look at the watch to find condensation on the crystal! That's very strange. Watch is under warranty but will it considered to I'm traveling right now for 10 days so cannot have it serviced immediately. What is the best course of action?Movement seems to be fine, at least the visible part.

Subdial question for the Speedy experts!
Hello Folks, I have a ref 3565.80.00. Sometimes like to leave the chronograph seconds hand in the 730pm position so that the printing at 12oclock is readable. Otherwise is partially blocked when the hand is at rest. Is it bad to run the chronograph, stop it but not reset the dials back to 12 oclock - then leave it like that indifinately?
Looking for thoughts on this payment schedule
So I have money saved up for either a GMT II 2 tone or DSSD...just have to pick which one. But before the price increase I started looking at a 2nd watch. My Panerai AD told me something interesting. If I purchase a Panerai (looking at the 514) at full retail, they can finance interest free for 20 months. Or....they can provide 10% off with interest free financing for 10 months. Looking at the forums, a used 514 typically comes in around $6k USD. I don't know how long it will take our dollar to rebound. Right now, to buy a $6k watch in the US would cost around $7.4 CDN...ouch. Might as well buy new. Any thoughts?
