A. Lange & Sohne Grand Lange 1 Lumen Watch
For 2013 one of the limited edition A. Lange & Sohne watches will be this neat looking and very high-end Grand Lange 1 Lumen timepiece. The piece is a mix of a few ideas that Lange has offered over the years. While typically very heavy on the "look what cool new stuff we developed," language, German A. Lange & Sohne is much more straight-forward in how they discuss this watch. In fact, while this piece will sell rather well, it is a sort of Frankenstein's monster of Lange using ideas from a few past watches together without anything really new. It is a great watch, but it does lack that "wow" factor Lange is usually able to deliver with their new products. I will however say that what is new, is very useful. The Grand Lange 1 was re-done for 2012 and covered hands-on here. It is a larger version of the 38.5mm Lange 1, and a smaller version of the older Grand Lange 1. The new version is about 41mm wide and is one of A. Lange & Sohne's best pieces. You know what it lacks thoug
Sales Promotion Photo
I have noticed that the time set on most sales promotion photo is 10:10.What is the reason for that? Tradition, superstition........?
How does your AP sleep at night...?
I never liked to sleep with a watch on my wrist. Mostly for fear of banging it on the headboard, the bedside table, etc. And quite frankly, without my glasses I wouldn't be able to clearly read the time at night with the lume.Normally I would just leave the watch I was wearing that day on my nightstand, and depending on the watch, sometimes on top of a microfiber cleaning cloth. But for some reason I felt that I wanted something a little more, let's say special, for my AP. So, now I just put it on the nice AP travel case every night. Sounds silly, but it makes it feel a little more special to take it out of the case every morning and strap it to my wrist. And of course, it also serves a real purpose, as it will protect the watch from accidentally being scratched against the wood, or sliding off by accident. So, what do you do with yours at night? Tudor Warranty - voided if from grey market???
See below for a pic of the Tudor warranty card I got with my recent Black Bay acquisition. What do you make of the line about, ...valid only if (1) the watch was sold to a consumer by the Official Tudor Jeweler whose name appears on the warranty card and (2) the warranty card is completely filled out by the Official Tudor Jeweler at the time of purchace ... void if any intervention by a third party...Does this mean if you buy the watch second hand, i.e. not from the Official Tudor Jeweler whose name appears on the warranty card, they will void the warranty? Is this an attempt to keep people from buying from a grey?
