New blue Royal Oak dual time?
I've just noticed the attached new dual time on the AP websitehttps://.audemarspiguet/en/wa...T.OO.D018CR.01I have tried googling it for more information and haven't had any luck.I just wondered if anyone knew any more about it. It seems to be one of the few 39mm Royal Oak's currently available and I rather like the look of it.
AP Royal Oak Chrono Vs Patek Nautilus Chrono
Well Guys,I have narrowed my next watch down to two options and I have shopped around from the best prices I can get.I would like to really thank some of you who shared your contacts. It really is much appreciated and shows how great this forum is!With the Patek, the best price I could get is 15% off Swiss list price, compared to 28% off the AP. So this is how it works out:?43,500 at a 15% discount for the Nautilus ChronoVS ?24,600 with a 28% discount for the APWhich would you go for considering:LooksValue - there is a substantial difference in priceQualityRepair and Service TimesResaleStatus
Moon Watch Article
Hey All:I found this article about NASA and their choice of using the Omega Speedmasters for most of the trips to the moon..Seems as though they got picked because they were the best for the job...Makes sense to me (unliike most government decisions lately).Be safe..k4yk/watches/OmegaNAWCC.pdf
Bracelet adjustment on a Nautalus 5711
Can you adjust the bracelet on a Nautalus 5711 without a special tool that only the AD has? My AD ( which is 3 hours away) told me they have a special machine to do it and it can't be done without it. I would like to adjust it without having to travel back to them. I just can't seem to get the right fit. It seems like I may need a half link or something. Do people find the bracelet more comfortable with the extra link on the 12:00 or 6:00 side? To me it seems to lay better with the extra link on the 12:00 side ,but feel better with the extra link on the 6:00 side. Am I just letting my OCD get to me ?
Lucky day at the airport (first Rolex)
So, I was walking through Schiphol on Friday, with an hour to kill before my flight home, when I happened upon a 116710LN at the airside Gassan store. It was sitting the the display window (the only SS model they had) and the salesperson said she had just put it out there minutes before.Moments later, it was on my wrist, and I boarded my flight home with a big smile. This is my first Rolex, and as a frequent business traveller, I think the GMT complication will be very useful. Here's a quick picture taken from the lounge. By the way, for those who might be interested in buying a watch from the airport, I paid exactly MSRP minus VAT (which in NL, is 21%), so in this case 7,750 EUR - VAT = 6,404 EUR.
