SIHH Preview: Girard-Perregaux 1966 Small Second
The Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection reflects the brand's ability to produce pure watchmaking classics. The latest addition in this line, the 1966 Small Second, embodies the essence of a refined timepiece right down to the smallest details. This piece is at once modern and timeless. The 40mm round case strikes a balance between the petite dress watches of yesterday and the larger pieces that are the fashion today.Girard-Perregaux says the design is largely inspired by the manufacture’s 19th century pocket watches. For this reason, Grand Feu enamel was the only choice for the dial, as it offers a firm historical connection, singular depth, and unique a character. Elegant painted Arabic numerals and blued steel leaf-shaped hour and minute hands compliment the artisanal dial. This model is powered by a new automatic movement, developed from the Girard-Perregaux caliber 3300, which offers a small second display that is just slightly offset to balance the design. The new movement, with
Differences between ROO series
Hi, after a few years without AP, i acquired a 15300 and ROO panda.A few years ago I had a F-series safari which I sold, and next to a new box from audemars,i found the rubber pushers and crown quit soft on the last I-series 26170. I can put my nail into the rubber, where in my souvenirs it was quit hard on my F-series. Is that normal?I also discovered a new typography on the datewheel, a few examples:.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=3413104.bp.blogspot/-yRpp0meLtX...guet+Panda.JPGi183.photobucket/albums/x73/emagni/035a.jpgi38.servimg/u/f38/16/33/62/09/audema10.png Do you know other differences between the F, G, H and I series?
44mm ROO SS vs 42mm Diver SS
My brother-in-law purchased a 44mm ROO in SS yesterday and I received it today for him and WOW!!! I cannot believe how much I love this watch. Originally I thought it was crazy that the watch costs $14,100 more than the diver... But after inspecting it further, I can say that the 44mm models are in a completely different league... And I can now understand why such a big price difference. The 44mm models are just wow. I would've bought the 44 too but the price was just out of my budget. Sigh...Here's a shot of the two watches.
Patek Calatrava advice
I'm planning on purchasing this 3423. However, I can't find much info on the reference so I'm not sure what a fair price is. I'd appreciate some help on deciding what to offer for the watch.
9 black + 3 white Ceramic Daytona for Shreve (Palo Alto), but only 3 SkyD
Stopped by Shreve in Stanford this weekend, was told:- In 2017, they received twelve 116500 (9 black and 3 white)- The 326934 is an allocation piece, they've received only three (1 of each) and are not taking names. According to them, it is more exclusive than even the 116500.So there you go, the ratio sounds right and aligns with everything else I heard, though I feel the Sky-D is becoming more available and won't be the next Daytona. Still waiting for my blue dial though...
