About to take the plunge on a Diver
Hi guys,Long time forum reader but wanted to jump in with my first post. I am narrowing in on a long considered purchase of a ROO Diver 15710 with black dial. For me the open case back is the biggest factor vs the 15703 to see the amazing workmanship of the movement, especially as this will be my first 'holy trinity' piece. When I first began scoping out AP I was set on the 15400, but even after trying all three dial colours it never grabbed me the same way as when I first tried on the diver - I almost bought it there and then on the spot !One thing though that I am intrigued about is the price difference (when at full retail at any rate) between the diver and the 15400. In my book the diver, absent the virtually handmade bracelet, which clearly adds to the overall cost of manufacture should be positioned at a lower cost than the diver with a rubber strap. This is further compounded when the difference in dial manufacture method is taken into account, considering the presumed cost to m

Royal Oak Clasp Issue
Hey, first post in this section. I was listing my RO Chrono for sale a few weeks ago (I've since decided to keep it, due to selling some other stuff). And while taking photos, I noticed that the clasp was a bit looser than it should be. The same exact same thing happened to me with a Hublot Big bang a few weeks prior to that, and Hublot fixed it even though the warranty period had expired. The Hublot issue was functionally nearly identical to this issue. If I had to guess, I'd say the spring on one side came loose. So I took the ROC to the AP boutique in NYC to check it out- I was told it is safe to wear, and not to fix it until the watch needs a service. While I understand that this may be true, I do like my stuff to be perfect. Can anybody recommend something that will fix this, short of sending it back for an 18 week (what the boutique quoted me) service?Photos are below- I made it look a little worse in the photos by pushing down the clasp locking piece for illustrative purposes. Has anyone ever contacted Francois Bennahmias?
Does anyone happen to have the email address for AP CEO Francois Bennahmias? I'm not selling anything. I would just like to write him an email about the AP watches I own. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates always read their own email. I'm hoping that Mr. Bennahmias does as well.
Sell 15400 for 126600?
Guys,I need help. I have an option to sell my 15400 for a 126600 but I cant make up my mind. I have more than enough Rolex watches but I am a sucker for movements. My friend, who works for Rolex, claims that their new movements are fantastic hence I am inclined to sell my 15400 to get a Sea Dweller but AP movements are beautiful to look at.What should I do?
