Nominees Announced For the 2010 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve Watch Awards
The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve is the Swiss watch making industry's award night (though not all the nominees are Swiss brands) celebrating and awarding the previous year's most interesting watches in a few categories. The awards are slanted to high-end timepieces, but there is a category for timepieces that are more entry level at just a few thousand dollars. The Grand Prix categories are: best men's watch, best ladies watch, best design concept watch, best jewelery watch, best complicated watch, best sport watch, and a category called "Best Small Hand" which I believe is for the best watch under a certain price.Check out the list of nominees here, and please to comment with your personal picks for the best watches below. The GPGH will be held on November 18th, 2010.
Small, Transparent and In Disguise; Meistersinger at Baselworld 2016
When it comes to one-handed watches, Meistersinger is the first brand that should come to mind. Their line of watches over the years has grown to refine what a one-handed watch is, offering varieties of utter simplicity, up to ones with surprising uses of complications, such as jump hours and mono-pusher chronographs. This year at Basel, they tuned some of their existing lines, changing a typeface here and there, adding a color, a new strap option, etc as well as added some items that are completely new.Little watch, Big impactThe first new introduction from Meistersinger is their smallest to date. Called the Phanero, from the Greek "phaners" meaning visible, the manual wound watch measures 35mm with a height of 7.5mm. The case is a different style for the brand, and was a highlight of the watch. From above, it's all dial, with straight kinked lugs that bring to mind Bauhaus classics like the Stowa Antea or Nomos Tangente. From the side (and I apologize that we didn't get a good shot
Release Year - Reference Help
Hi everyone, I am writing my dissertation in which I am tracking the innovation of multiple watch brands, AP being one of them. In order to do this, I need to know the release years of all of the AP Royal Oak's which I am struggling with.I have contacted AP, but they have been no help. I know this is a long shot, but if anyone knows the year any of these references were released, I would really appreciate your input. 67651BA.ZZ.1261BA.0215450BA.OO.1256BA.0115450BA.OO.1256BA.0215450OR.OO.D002CR.0115450OR.OO.D088CR.0115450SR.OO.1256SR.0115450ST.OO.1256ST.0115454BC.GG.1259BC.0115202BA.OO.1240BA.0115202BA.OO.1240BA.0215202ST.OO.1240ST.0115204OR.OO.1240OR.0115305OR.OO.D088CR.0115205BA.OO.1240BA.0115305ST.OO.1220ST.0126124ST.OO.D018CR.0115400OR.OO.12220OR.0115400OR.OO.12220OR.0215400OR.OO.12220OR.0315400OR.OO.D002CR.0115400OR.OO.D088CR.0115400SR.OO.1220SR.0115400ST.OO.12220ST.0115400ST.OO.12220ST.0215400ST.OO.12220ST.0315400ST.OO.12220ST.0415403IP.OO.1220IP.0115407OR.OO.1220OR.0115407ST.OO.1

How accurate is 1861 movement?
I bought a brand new 50 anniversary Speedmaster from an AD a week ago. I am testing the accuracy of the watch in the box. The first day it was 10 s/day faster. Second day, it was 2 s/day slower. The third day, it was 2 s/day faster. Now, it is 2 s/day slower again. Will it run consistently after a while?
