Louis Vuitton Tambour Spin Time GMT
What is Spin Time? Does it determine whose top wins? Is it from particle physics? Perhaps in some neighborhoods, but not here. Spin Time is an innovate new collection from Louis Vuitton featuring watches with no hour hands. Instead, each of the 12 hour positions is occupied by a rotating cube. At any given hour, eleven of the cubes show a blank face (actually they display a subtle letter “V”) while the cube in the current hour position displays the current hour numerically. The cubes have numbers on 2 sides, so they can display, for example, 1 or 13, 2 or 14, indicating a.m. or p.m. At 3 p.m. for example, the hour cube located at the 3 o’clock position will display the number 15, while the other 11 cubes are blank. The minutes are displayed as usual, via a minute hand. There is also a standard GMT hand, set by the crown at the 8 o’clock position. Got that? The Swiss-made movement uses an ETA base, but the rotating cubes were designed by LVMH’s in-house desi
Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere Watch Marks Brand's Official Return
In 2015, the historic watch maker Angelus will make a comeback. It has been a while since I've been interested in covering a "revived" brand, and frankly, over the last few years, it has been happening less, as the luxury watch market has been slowing. However, the "new" Angelus with its debut Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere watch isn't going to be a product of investors trying to make it big in the "watch game." Rather, Angelus will be led by the same people who bring you Arnold & Son, and produced in the same factory of La Joux-Perret in Switzerland. Before I talk about the Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumiere, I want to briefly discuss this "new brand." The former Angelus company hasn't been around for over 30 years, having closed operations like so many other companies during the quartz crisis during the late 1970s. A lot of Angelus' current marketing efforts are going to be about discussing the merits of the historic brand and their DNA. It is true that the Angelus of old has a lot of
OEM leather straps and water resistance
Recently picked up my first PAM, so I am new to strap life. The watch itself is water resistant, but what about OEM leather straps which came with the watch? Can I swim with them on or should I consider sourcing OEM rubber for water activities? TIA
My new baby the 392!!
Being a Rolex only kind of guy I went in to buy a SS Daytona. Noticed the Panerai and loved them! But thought the 44 was too big on me. Week later I stopped in again and they had this 42mm 392. Fell in love! Fits perfect on my small wrist and is not too tall. Also love the smaller buckle! Now let the Strap fun begin!
Explorer Alternatives
Tried this on today. I liked the matt finish of the dial and the fact that it's rather an understated piece. With it being difficult to seeing stainless steel models in the flesh, what are some good alternatives/comparisons to the Explorer?Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
