Nautilus 3800
Need some input on the 3800 in SS. Tried to search a bit about the size but couldnt find any pics that compare the size to a Rolex or a AP RO for example. So how does it wear compared to a RO 14790 or a 36mm DJ?Anything else i should keep in mind when considering a 3800?
Lost the love for my BLRO....
Lost the love for my BLRO (and it was very similar to my Smurf anyway so I figured it kinda silly to have two WG Sports models anyway) so I flipped it for this. It's the Rose Gold and Olive' (or snotburst' as my mate calls it!) dial, Day Date 40 model 228235.Absolute change of direction for me and my collection but while it's undoubtedly the dressiest' watch I've ever owned it also feels surprisingly sporty' on the wrist and it's not quite as in your face' as it's YG siblings.Dial and the bracelet really are works of art IMO....
Sub Date and Milgauss
My current collection. I plan to include 1-2 more pieces: 116600 or SD43, and Daytona C. Thinking I may let the Sub Date go being replaced by the new piece. Or I better let one of the Milgauss go? I want to limit the collection to 8 watches.
Submariner exhibition at Rolex Shanghai (PIC HEAVY)
Hi guys,This weekend I visited that exhibition at the Rolex showroom on the Bund, especially dedicated to the Submariner. An interesting tribute to our dear Sub model I thought it would be interesting to share. The showroom is divided in 2 parts, the museum and the shop - which looks like a normal AD with the exception of a VIP lounge feeling where you can try regular and special models. special can be the novelties or the stone heavy ones such as Daytona full of gems everywhere and other pieces of questionable taste - that some local customers seem to appreciate. It's actually not an AD per se as it seems to belong directly to Rolex. Showing the models is the priority but you can also buy them.- and btw, like all other Rolex shops these days, no classic SS/TT sport model available. Nothing, nada, rien, 没有. Same stock shortage like anywhere else. But in the Nouveau Riche context of modern China, such a tribute to the Submariner was very nicely organized to teach customers
Which Rolex Model has Grown on You Over Time and Why
For me, it's the Sky-Dweller because it has a cool Dial and is 42 mm in size. Just loving that watch lately!
