Swedish Arlanch Gold Watch No 1 Is Eco Friendly-ish, Little In More Ways Than One
Made for a man, sized for a woman? Apparently that is what Swedish watch designer Gabriel Arlanch had in mind when making his first watch, the Arlanch Gold Watch No 1 as it is 32mm wide. Little! Sorta kid sized, or lady sized. Maybe I am getting it all wrong and this is a woman's watch. The was was announced mid last year, but this is the first I have heard of it. Aside from the passable looks, the real press release filler for the watch is it's eco-friendly features. Also, if the watch is Swedish, why does it say "Made in Germany" on it? Swedish design. Swiss movement, Germany manufacture. At least it looks that way.First the 14k gold case is make of recycled gold. Not sure what the means, but I think that "recycling gold" is more a business than it is being eco-friendly. Maybe the gold is taken from industrial use, which is possible. Can these two Royal Oaks co-exist?
The Jumbo 15202 vs the RO 15400. In the same collection that is. I ever thought about flipping my 15400 for the Jumbo since the theory goes that the Jumbo is a more authentic and superior version of the two ROs and keeping the 15400 after acquiring the Jumbo will be redandunt. But now having compared them many times, I think they are actually rather different. The 15400 is probably concieved as a beefier and sportier version of the original RO while the Jumbo with its thin profile and elegant looks is considerably dressier. While arguable, I also think the 15400 has a newer / more advance movement and a more robust case design. So I think they can complement each other. Or am I off track? So what are your thoughts?

2nd AP recommendations
hey all -- long time lurker here ....i picked up my first AP almost a year ago .... after doing a lot of research i pulled the trigger on 15202 40th Jumbo ... I couldn't be happier with it ... amazing watch.I'm now itching to get another but don't know where to start ... any recommendations from the group ... do i go for a ROC, ROO if so which ones ...I really like the new 42mm ROC's especially the RG with strapAny and all advice welcome ...thanksand some photos ...
