Introducing The Blancpain Bathyscaphe Chronograph Flyback AND The New High-Beat Caliber F385 (Which Might Actually Be The Real Story Here)
This year at BaselWorld, Blancpain followed up last year's Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe (HODINKEE "A Week On The Wrist" review here) with a chronograph in a similar form. Her question was very serious: Dad, do you think that watch can go one inch deeper than 3,900 meters? Does anyone know? This might be my chance to get her to like watches.
Hacking?
I’ve seen a few threads that have mentioned “hacking” what does this mean? I’ve only found that it refers to when the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out. Is there some use for this feature? I searched around some, feel free to point me to an article or thread! Thanks
