Early 861 Speedmaster with chocolate dial?
I own a few early Speedmasters and I've noticed that one of them has a dial that is a deep, rich, chocolate brown colour whereas the others are undoubtedly black. It's not thhat obvious and I only noticed when I put 3 of them together but it is noticeable.My camera isn't great so I'm not sure if the picture shows it but it's the one in the middle. It's a 1969 cal 861 ref 145.022-69.I believe this is quite unusual but not unique. Does anyone have any further information on this?Thanks - Simon

not so easy to tell from the dial strange to many but maybe understood here....took this pic when working at home before a vacation. had to spend time with a few pieces not making the trip since i'd miss them.

Nautilus 3700/001 lume on hands vs. dial
Anyone have a completely original 3700/001? If you charge up the lume with a flashlight, and go into a dark room, do you see a difference in how the hands and dial markers glow? I'm evaluating a watch and I'm curious to see what's normal here (I can't find examples on Google image search). Under a loupe, the hands and the dial markers have a different fill texture, which I've heard is common, but I'm curious if that would impact the glow intensity and consistency between the hands and the dial. Spanish VAT question re the Submariner Date (116610 Ln)
Hi guys - A while back I was lucky enough to reserve a Date Sub for July when i visit my family in Barcelona (I'm an Australian) at one of the ADs.I gave them my passport details a while back and now they have confirmed that they have acquired one in time for my trip but I need to give them a 2,000 euro deposit.They say that the retail price of 7,850 euros is non-negotiable and that they could assist in organising a 15.7% discount resulting in a price of 6,618 euros (very reasonable imo). Does anybody have any experience in negotiating further at one of these spanish ADs or should I be grateful that this has been set up and take the good price as it is.Also is there anything I need to do re bringing the watch back to Aus around GST etc?Thanks in advance - I am fairly new to international purchases and always bought in Australia but after reading some of the forums here I thought I would give it a crack overseas too.Appreciate it!
