Is The Swatch Group Interested In Fighting Apple Over The iWatch Trademark?
Swatch Group, one of the largest companies in the watch world, is defending its "iSwatch" trademark in anticipation of an iWatch from Apple - one of the most valuable companies in the world. Going on the offense and filing disputes to defend the iSwatch mark may be the correct course of action for Swatch if Apple does indeed choose to name their very likely upcoming smartwatch product "iWatch."The situation is seemingly simple. The Swatch Group, which owns the watch brand Swatch has been using the iSwatch name for several years as related to a product collection. Swatch anticipates that Apple will release a product called "iWatch" in the near future and is using legal means to defend the iSwatch name claiming that the term iWatch would be confusingly similar to iWatch in certain parts of the world such as the United States. Trade my small collection for 5167/1a?
Here's my situation. I'm going to have enough cash to buy a $18000 watch very soon but am thinking about trading my GSOTM, RLX 16610, RLX 5330, and cash for a 5167/1a with extra tropical strap/deployant way I can purchase another higher end watch with the cash. I'm getting to the point where I'm drawn more towards $10,000 and up watches way more than the $5000-$8000 models and feel they would make an overall better collection even though I would have fewer to rotate. I only have a few exceptions to this rule with models that fall around the $7000-$8000 range which I truly love. Would trading the 16610 with box and papers plus a sealed red second hand, GSOTM box and papers and sealed black gator deployant strap, RLX 5330 boxes and manual plus extra non OEM gator strap, and say $4000 cash be a reasonable deal for both me and the seller? And, would you do it? I figure the seller could sell the 16610 for $5000, the GSOTM for $6750, the 5330 for $2500 fast, and then the second hand and stra
Explorer 214270 bracelet on BLNR?
I tried doing a search but couldn't find any results: does anyone know if the Explorer 214270 bracelet fits on the GMT ii BLNR?They're both 20mm and look the same. It would be awesome to be able to store the PCL bracelet away, put on the brushed Explorer bracelet, and just put a strap on the Explorer :)Thanks!
