Zodiac Adds Bronze and 7750 Chronos to Their Line Up
Well, the ‘heritage’ craze at Baselworld 2016 continues! Zodiac is another brand with a rich history that is continuing the fantastic trend of borrowing upon that history to produce new versions of vintage classics. This year Zodiac has put out quite a few models for Basel, but we’ll just concentrate on a couple of limited edition gems here, one diver and one chronograph. The Zodiac Sea Dragon Chronograph is sporty, with a bit of that vintage racing chrono flair. The case is similar to the 3-handed version we reviewed with a squarish tonneau shape, nicely brushed top and sides, with a polished bezel. At 42mm wide with 22mm lugs, it’s a nice modern size without being too big. The dial is laid out with the sub-dials at 12, 6 and 9, and a day/date window at 3.There will be several dial colors available, but the limited editions will come only in black or gray. Brushed hands and steel hour markers, both with Superluminova help out with low light visibility. The cryst
Introducing The Hublot King Power Unico GMT
You're looking at the most interesting Hublot in a good while.? The King Power Unico GMT is a little bit Girard-Perregaux ww.tc and a little bit Urwerk 103.? The watch uses rotating satellites to display several timezones at once, though the indication is made via small red lines on the outer dial.? The movement itself is pretty impressive, if not a little confusing, but then again, most world-timers are a little tricky to read.?The Hublot King Power Unico GMT will be available in black ceramic or 18K rose gold, both sized at 48mm.? These will hit the market sometime in early 2012.?(via Perpetuelle)
New 2014 ROO Owners please help
Hi everyone,I'm looking at picking up my very first AP. For a long time I was debating between the 15400, ROC, and ROO. I have since settled on the ROO. And initially settled on the ROO Panda. However, after seeing the new ROO models, I have decided to get one of those. The ceramic parts + the sapphire caseback really pushed me over the edge. I'm deciding between the Safari, Black/Red and Grey elephant. I am going to go to an AD to try them all on before deciding for sure, but I wanted to know some of the opinions of owners here! Does anyone own more than 1 of these? I am leaning more toward the New Safari, but am afraid the brown tones may be difficult to match (especially in a more formal setting), where the grey elephant may still pull off relatively formal attires, the safari might not. I've heard that the Safari does not look good in photos. But look extremely amazing in person. Looking forward to hearing any opinions / comparison photos / photos /wristshots of these beautiful ROO'
Somethin' to tide me over...
... while looking for the perfect vintage Constellation. It was an Ebay Buy It Now and not much money. I'm taking it to our watchmaker Monday for a good cleaning. It's got a cal. 351 bumper movement - and it's in better shape than I expected. Um, hope it's real. These pics are also posted in today's WRUW thread...
