Titoni Seascoper Dive Watch
Titoni is a Swiss watch brand I don't normally see featured outside of Switzerland. At least not here in the US that often. They are among the many more affordable brands that have actual histories but have decided not to ascend the steep luxury ladder into the serious lifestyle arena that defines many of the Swiss brands that we cover. For 2014, Titoni releases a relatively attractive new dive watch based on some historic models from the 1970s. The collection is the Titoni Seascoper ref. 83985, and it includes a range of models with various dials and either a red or blue bezel. Watch lovers will no doubt feel that the black dial with red bezel version of the Titoni Seascoper is similar to the Tudor Heritage Black Bay. It is true that in the modern context, many brands have tried to feature their own versions of the popular vintage-style dive watches. However, in my opinion a more natural analogy to the Titoni Seascoper comes from Tissot.Titoni Seascoper dive watch from the 1970sCoincid
AP Diver Bug
I never thought I would be looking at APs, but the bug has finally bitten.I have found the Diver to be very versatile and a good tool watch since I dive recreationally as well.I was at a AD over the weekend, and they did not have one in stock. Not sure if this is true but they claim they move very quickly. It seems like we have a lot of fans of the Diver here on TRF.The AD offered a new one at 16% off and wasn't sure whether that's considered a decent deal.I wasn't able to find any BNIB by our trusted sellers, and was hoping someone may be able to chime in on some purchasing tips.Oh and also, is the I-serial the latest and greatest with the new stock?
chronomat question
I put my chronomat on a winder when not on my wrist. After a few days on the winder, the watch stops. I manually wind the watch and then it starts working again. Does anyone have any suggestions and or recommendations as to what could be wrong. Thx
Audemars Piguet/Patek Philippe
Can anyone give me info on Steel Audemars Piguet watches I like the Royal Oak Day Date, they seem rather expensive for a S/S watch and around the same price as a Steel Patek Philippe Aquanaut which I also like. Any opinion would be welcome on the 2 watchesRobert
Kudos to Rolexbrah
Had to briefly relate my recent interaction with Rolexbrah(Jay) - he recently replied via PM to my post concerning a watch I've been hunting. He briefly outlined a AD had such watch & proceeded to advise contact details, etc. I contacted the AD and secured the watch over a few texts and phone call. Jay clearly could have kept this info. to himself but he provided the info. to a fellow member - I am very appreciative of his candor & insight. In my opinion, this is the quintessential reason to be a member of TRF - to share ideas with likeminded enthusiasts.I look forward to future interaction with Rolexbrah & his contribution to the forum!
