You can visit her on her website meehnagoldsmithwatches-dealer.In the history of watchmaking, the name Breguet is a hallowed one. Abraham-Louis Breguet, who established his eponymous company in 1775, is single-handedly responsible for many of the major horological innovations of the last two-plus centuries, including the Breguet overcoil, tourbillon, keyless works and automatic winding. Even more impressive is that those innovations are still employed today, over 200 years after their introduction. That company Breguet founded has operated virtually uninterrupted since its inception, but by 1999, after several ownership changes, the brand was languishing. Photo Report: Event Recap: An Evening With Independent Watchmaker Kari Voutilainen
Last night HODINKEE co-hosted a fascinating event with the Horological Society of New York, to celebrate independent watchmaking and the great Kari Voutilainen. The Q&A event took place at The Varick Room at Tribeca Cinemas. The event started at 7 p.m. with an open bar. The room was buzzing with fellow watchmakers, collectors and enthusiasts alike, all excited to meet and hear Mr. Voutilainen speak. 1 OF 7 Benjamin Clymer led the Q&A, starting at 8 p.m., where he and Mr. Voutilainen spoke of his childhood dream of working with his hands and being independent and how he managed to achieve this through dedication, hard work, and perseverance. The talk was enthralling and the room was silent with anticipation – that is until questions were opened up to the floor and the floodgates opened. Questions such as "what is your favorite complication?" (chronograph), "who is your favorite watchmaker besides yourself?" (Philippe Dufour), and "how
New ROO Diver 15710ST
Anyone have an idea of when the black dial stainless steel version of this new reference will be available at ADs?Cheers
Just bought a winder
I just bought a fully adjustable two watch winder by Wolf, the 2.7.It looks like my Omega Seamaster Professional Chronograph, 3 dials with date at the bottom with sword hands, smooth black face, mid-2000's is my guess. Looks just like an America's Cup with the insignia, will want bi-directional winding at 650 turns. Can anyone confirm this ? I think I found the right information on the Orbita data base, but I want to make sure-My Breitling Navitimer will go clockwise at 800-Thanks
is SD43 too big
.....for me?been eyeing the SD43, possibly for upcoming 50th bday.Unfortunately, the ADs near me doesn't have one in stock for me to try on. So I tried on the YMII, which supposedly have similar size to the SD43. (slightly wider at 44mm, but slightly lower on profile vs SD43 15mm) what do u guys think on my 7.25 wrist ? (the bracelet is obviously little loose)I think its ok.... possibly little too big since my sweet spot seems to fall 40-41mm. Thought I could pull off 43mm. hahahaWondering if the black face of the SD43 will make it appear smaller....Also tried on the BLRO, which I knew would look great. lolPerhaps I should just get that for my 50th.... thx in adv !
