Dottling Colosimo Spike & Mies "Stylish" Watch Winders
We have now entered the world of designer watch winders. Did you ever think that your next watch winder would be inspired by a chair? Or perhaps high heels? Well these two are. German safe and watch winder maker Dottling has built a follow-up model to their famed Colosimo watch winder safe. I originally wrote about the Colosimo here.The new winder is still called the Colosimo, but is smaller than the original and now has room to wind three versus one watch. To begin, Dottling will offer two limited edition versions of the second generation Colosimo. These are Colosimo "The Spike" and Colosimo "The Mies." ROO 42 vs 44mm
Hello gang,I need some advice.I am considering parting with my APROO Grey Themes to get into a 44MM Big Panda.My question is; Does the 44mm wear that much bigger than the 42mm?I do wear suite often and occasionally have the ROO 42mm on my wrist.I don't want to lose that versatility if I get into a 44mm.I don't have a boutique close by that I could try on.Any advice, comments or side by side shots are greatly appreciated!Roger

Ploprof vs. Sub
I recently switched from a date sub to a Ploprof 600. Ever since I havnt been able to release a feeling of remorse (or regret?) .. Will Ploprof grow on me, or will this feeling endure?I know its a deeply personal question, but was the trade bueno/no bueno?

New Day Date & Stick/Lume question
Took me a while to get round to it, but finally posting about a new (BNIB with stickers) day date I acquired at the end of last year. It's a white gold 118209 that I'd wanted for a while, and had to give up my 3-watch SS rolex collection to get it (together more cash than I would have liked to make up the difference) but absolutely no regrets so far, and it's a watch I hope to wear for very long while. It's from around 2008 so has the newer bracelet/engraved rehaut but when I decided to change out the dial from silver to black, I ended up going with with the older stick/baton dial design, rather than the newer dials that have lume as markers. This may seem an odd choice to some but I had a old 5 digit datejust for about 10 years and there's something I really like about the classic/timeless style of the old stick dials, and also given the watch itself is white gold I though why not be consistent. Saying that I do like the presence/stronger impact of the lume on the newer dials too. J
