Patek Philippe and Rolex Highlight Antiquorum’s November 13 Geneva Auction
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva will host Antiquorum’s “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” auction on November 13. The highlights include a recently discovered Patek Philippe quarter and special type five-minute repeating 24-hours in one revolution pocket watch and a Patek Philippe ref. 1518 in yellow gold. In all, 603 exceptional modern and vintage timepieces will be offered. Find details inside. The recently discovered Patek Philippe pocket watch was originally sold to Monsieur E. Hoesch, Villa Barbaia, Mergellina, Naples, on November 27, 1894 for 3750 Swiss Francs. It is a highly important 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar, chronograph, moon phases, and lunar calendar accompanied by the original certificate of origin and Patek Philippe sales receipt. I see a lot of folks wearing a watch on the right wrist. Always thought left was considered the traditional way of wearing a timepiece. A bit of a silly question to ask, that I know but, I was just curious to those who wear it on the right. Is it because you're left handed and you wear it on the right?
