Independent watchmaking is often regarded as something that is out of the reach for most watch lovers, but for those willing to do more extensive research, there are some more interesting alternatives out there. One of them is?Habring2. For the past decade, the brand has been committed to bringing innovative independent watchmaking to a more affordable price level.?This year, Habring2 celebrates its 10th anniversary with the Felix, their first watch to contain an in-house designed movement. We visit them to find out more about what goes into a Habring2 watch and provide also an in-depth review?of?their new Felix watch.Speaking of independent watchmaking, this round-up also sees an interview with Vincent Perriard and Dominique Renaud of HYT watches, which specializes in hydromechanical timepieces?C watches?that use liquids to tell time. Speedmaster 3523.30
Hello TRF! I bought this Omega Speedmaster 3523.30 in 2004 at an AD in Asia and was wondering what it's worth. I don't have the original boxes, but do have the warranty card, pictogram card and the cream colored leather card holding sleeve. The watch itself is in excellent condition, I did wear it as a daily wear for a while but was very careful. Ebay was kind of everywhere on pricing, some even called it a rare find . I could not find anything in the classified section of TRF. Any insight or guide to a site that may shed some light would be greatly appreciated!
Watch manufacturers v Grey Market
Interesting article: https://.fratellowatches/cert...owned-watches/Opinions are like wrist watches...everyone's watch shows a different time from others, but everyone believes that their time is correct.
Best way to store an auto movement
Not necessarily a Rolex topic. But what is the safest or best way to store an automatic? I wear my hulk on the weekends. During the week I have it in a winder. If I decide to store it longterm, what would be good for the movement? If it's on a winder, then the movement is continually running. Would this wear the parts down and still need a servicing after 5 or more years. I've also heard some pull the crown out in the hacking position to stop the movement but I would think this would be bad for the spring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
