Thomas Prescher Nemo Sub I Watch Is Steampunk Submersible
Late night e-mails from German-born Swiss watchmaker Thomas Prescher are always interesting. This is the man who has brought us the first triple axis-tourbillon and who really epitomizes the concept of independent watchmaker. Always inspired, the newest watch by Mr. Prescher is his most impressive and ambitious project yet. Called the Nemo Sub I, this is perhaps the most interesting new watch of 2014, and is likely to stay that way. What you see is a mostly sapphire crystal case that is meant to look like a steampunk submarine dreamed out of the work of early science fiction writer Jules Verne. This is also the third in a series of "Nemo" watches, inspired by the Captain Nemo character that is featured in Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and The Mysterious Island.? This watch journey began with the simple (for Thomas Prescher) limited edition Nemo Sailor in 2012 and later more complicated and also limited Nemo Captain tourbillon in 2013. FC Roo vs Diver vs Novelty 44 ?
currently I've caught a bug to get a new watch for a while.I wanted the ap 44 rg but then trying it on it's definitely too bold for me(I'm 22 and doing my internship at a hotel) I've always been interested in AP forge carbon but have heard about the material durability but, from owner's experience it seems to be fine and thought it'd be a nice addition to the colleciton considering I don't have one. However, I've always love AP white dial and black sub dial (panda) tried on the 42 it's beautiful but now having the elephant would be better idea to get a 44 the ceramic bezel is a big plus so what would you guys choose? - AP 42 Bumble bee- AP Diver FC- AP novelty Steel- get a sub 116618 one of my grail + it will be fit under my shirt cuff so should be fine
I'm not patient enough for unboxing pix
]Popped open a waiting box as I got home from a very tough work week. This will be in it's element ,the ocean, all weekend.
Preference? SS, 2 Tone, or solid PM?
My evolution on watch preference has gone from 2 tone, to solid PM to SS.Any strong feelings?
Sd 43 in the UK, an off the record discussion.
Today I phone my AD(Midlands UK) who I think I've have nice relationship with(My perception is perhaps different to theirs, but I have bought 3 other different Rolex models there in the last 12 months, over 20,00.00 worth). to see where I am on the list for a SD43 to be told they get one a month.I'm 3rd, so next March was the guesstimate. Food for thought?
