Romain Gauthier Logical One Secret Is Not So Logical After All
A bit over a year ago Romain Gauthier?(R. Gauthier) released the Logical One, his most complicated and most expensive watch thus far. In fact, it was so extraordinary that it went on to win the prize for the Best Men's Complications Watch at the 2013 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genve, defeating pieces from Greubel Forsey, Hublot, Montblanc and others. When a brand C regardless if its a smaller independent, or a major manufacture C creates such a complicated and special piece, they generally try and plan different future versions of it in advance, at the time when only the base concept is being created. This is understandable as it takes several years to develop such a caliber and it is only profitable if it lives through different iterations. The Logical One is likely no exception, as one year after its debut the brand just announced an interesting new version of it, called the Secret. The greatestCand most obviousCdifference that the Logical One Secret offers over its predecessor is th
Specs of luxurious Chopard 1000 Miglia GT XL Chrono Speed Black Watch
Animation of Chopard Miglia GT XL Chrono Black watch speed 1000 is a variant of the chronograph calibre Valjoux 7750 robust and extremely precise. The automatic movement of the Switzerland won praise throughout the brotherhood of watches for its robust construction, reliable operating characteristics and mechanism Eprouvés chronograph integrated. Each of these sizes is submitted by Chopard in an Office of the Switzerland official chronometer control (COSC) where he undergoes a 15 days of tests to ensure that the accuracy is a demanding range on a variety of positioning and temperature variations. The certificate provided with each timepiece, and the inscription of chronometer on the dial, both attest the movement that have emerged with success of these trials.
Serial flipper- have I gone too far?!
Hi all, firstly I would like to say hi and express my gratitude and appreciation to all contributors to this forum- you have provided me with many hours of inspiration, advice and most importantly, allowed me to admire your many beautiful timepieces.I find myself in a bit of a dilemma and would greatly appreciate some honest advice- I promise I can handle it :)I have always been a serial flipper and over the years have been slowly upgrading towards my 'grail'.Having gone through a few watches, I stumbled and fell in love with the Deepsea. Although large, I felt really comfortable with the size and before long decided to go for a Panerai- the 47mm 194. I absolutely loved this watch and it wasn't much longer the Rolex had to go and my second Pam came along- another sub, the 225. This is really where the problems started. Although the same dimensions as the 194, for some weird reason, I felt it a little too big and started to become a little bit self conscious, therefore not giving it muc

So so pleased
This is the watch I've always wanted more than any other. But it's always been out of my reach. This week I finally have one to call my own. I did have to trade two other watches [inc an Exp 114270] but it was well worth it.It's original dial and domed plexi but service hands from 2001 [I'm fine with this and secretly rather like being able to tell the time when I wake up in the night] and it has been polished a little more than I'd like, but to me it's perfect.I'm posting here so I can have an excuse to see it again since it went straight to the watchmaker for a service today.. Anyway I love it and have gotten more of a thrill from owning this than from anything else I've bought. Thats all really.Oh and it came with box, service papers, original booklets etc and original Rolex Ad sales receipt [it was first sold in 1984] but oddly [to me] not original papers. Either they were sold or the original owner kept everything even the receipt but didn't consider the Rolex papers important..
