Rotonde de Cartier Flying Tourbillon Skeleton Watch
The cool ways of the jazzy Rotonde de Cartier Flying Tourbillon Skeleton watch are discussed by me over at Haute Living. This cool cat of a watch really knowns how to impress technologically. Plus you have the fine Cartier name, so you know all the "know-nothings" out there will at least recognize the watch is worth noting. God it feels good to be a watch snob sometimes.See my article on the Cartier Rotonde Flying Tourbillon Skeleton watch here at Haute Living. Watch Winder Questions for Perpetual Calendar
Is there any reason not to keep my new 5140 perpetual calendar on a winder when not on the wrist? I have a small, rechargeable Wolf winder (fits in my safe) that has on and off cycles, so it's not constantly turning. A related question: This winder has both clockwise and counter-clockwise cycles, and can't be programmed to turn just one direction. I think I read that the Calibre 240Q movement only winds clockwise. Is that correct, and is there any problem if the winder alternates in both directions?

This Christmas... three brothers... three rolexes
Hey folks, just wanted to take a minute to share something from the heart (please bear with me). Every Thanksgiving, as I reflect on the things I'm thankful for, 2017 was a little different for my family and I. We had a lot of ups and some very low lows. The biggest low was losing a very good friend of mine (whom I consider a brother) to cancer at a young age of 39. He was a very dear friend of my family and we all loved him. He and his family were doing what they loved (missionaries in Guatemala taking care of young, abused girls) and God called him home early. Life is short... nothing is guaranteed. So this thanksgiving, after a long year at work, I decided to go visit my grandmother in HK with my mom. As I sat there with my 91 y/o grandmother with my mom, I couldn't help but reminisce one of the last times we were here together. Back in 2001, after I graduated college and the summer before I started the painful grind of my “work career”, my mom and I went to H
