Watches NEWS
Ap roo ref. #26405ce.oo.a002ca.02
Hi everyone!I came across this forum while trying to find a few answers in regards to my recently purchased my first AP (only owned Rolexs so far) from an AD and couldn't find any answers on the web so was hoping I could get some from experienced AP owners on this forum.I was just wandering if it is normal for the the ROO minute and hour hands to feel loose or have play while adjusting the time as my Rolexs have little to no play while adjusting the time and if it is normal for the watch to continually wind the movement while screwing down the crown.I have sent AP an email for answers but they pretty much told me to take it to the AD again to ask and as I live in Taipei for work now and my Chinese sucks I think it would be much quicker asking here. Thanks!
The Unoffical Snoopy Thread
Considering there are only 1,970 pieces, I am super curious to see how many owners are on TRF. Clearly, they are not all out there yet, but I have got to imagine if you are a snoopy owner and you are on TRF you will see this thread. So I will start by saying 1. If you have one, please follow up with 2, and then continue....so on...and so forth...If you will...1Thanks for playing....
Any followers of the Seamaster 300M Quartz?
Hi Guys,Never owned an Omega myself, but I'm thinking of buying one for my Father for his birthday. I much prefer the idea of getting hold of a pre-owned quartz model simply because Omega don't produce these anymore. Reason behind getting quartz is, my father has a couple other watches that he likes to swap between so having a quartz he could just put on and not have to worry about setting the time, unlike the automatic which I think has around 48hr power reserve. I personally would like the auto, but I'm just thinking he's not the kind of guy that can be bothered with setting the time and it'd probably end up sitting in the watch box unworn. He's of old age now, so the least amount of hassle for him the better. I want it to be his favourite watch, as his others aren't very fancy etc.Question is how do you guys rate the 300M Quartz, I tried on the current auto model yesterday and got to say it was absolutely lovely....so how does the quartz compare? I'm trying to find one privately and
Christies auctioning Pateks
Some interesting Patek's coming up for auction at Christie's Dubai auction in March:Egyptian King Farouks watch to be sold at chirsties auction/They also have a 3974, 5271, 5004, 5370p, 5524g, 5164r to name a few. First major auction for 2018, will be interesting to see how these all go.
Sending a watch for sizing...
I bought a 5167 on a bracelet a few months ago and finally wore it this weekend. It fits, but is uncomfortably tight. My AD is in another city that I rarely visit. I want to avoid sending it back and forth. Do the links come in half links? Is there a good way figure out what I need?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
