BASELWORLD 2011 - New Model - Patek Philippe 7000R - Minute Repeater 7000
(Images and Press Release - Patek Philippe SA)Patek Philippe Ladies - Minute Repeater Ref. 7000Self-winding minute repeater of technical brilliance in an irresistibly feminine interpretationWatches with minute repeaters have always ranked among the rarest, most precious, and most elaborate timepieces. In an extremely compact space, their intricate inner life brings together hundreds of individual parts that interact and function in harmony, or move next to each other with minimal clearances, without making contact. The objective of the effort is to strike the time displayed on the dial with the best possible acoustic sonority. And so, at 3:34 for instance, the time is indicated with a dong-dong-dong for the hours on a low-pitched gong, a ding-dong, ding-dong on both gongs for the quarter-hours, and a ding-ding-ding-ding for the minutes on the high-pitched gong. Technical finesse that makes time so seductively audible is bound to attract the attention of women as well. Patek Philippe de

Today is a sad day :(
So here is the story:I was walking out of the bathroom at a club in Orlando last night with my AP Ceramic Driver on and someone bumped into me and the next thing I know my watch was no longer on my wrist and it was no where to be seen. I immediately checked the floor to see if it maybe fell off my wrist. It was gone! Someone stole my watch right off my wrist! I honestly feel like I want to cry! I filed a police report and called AP. I unfortunately did not insure the watch. Any suggestions... Everyone be careful with your watches. You never know...
15400 vs 15300 Size
Hi everyone. I know there has already been plenty of discussion comparing these two models, but I wanted some opinions specifically about size. Last year I liquidated my collection to buy the 15400. I absolutely loved it but ultimately sold it because I didnt like it as my only watch. Now I am in a position where I can afford to have the AP as well as my sub C which I think will be a perfect combo. The one thing that is holding me back is this nagging feeling in my head that the 41mm royal oak may be just a bit too big in me. My wrist is about 7 inches and when I owned the watch I was a bit concerned about the size but it didnt concern me that much. Now with the chance to do it again I am wondering if I should hold out for a 15300 which may be a better size for me. The problem is they are impossible to find and I will likely never be able to try it on before buying. I was hoping to get a few opinions on the size of it in my wrist before I make my decision. Thanks for reading!uploadfrom
