How To Make Your Own Watch
Have you ever wanted a unique watch? Or perhaps just a few small changes to one you have or are considering? Once you dive into the world of horology, sooner or later you'll start having strong opinions about what you like and dislike, and will probably start wondering what it'd take to make Your Perfect Wristwatch. If you're wealthy, it's quite simple. Simply call Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin or many others, and they'll be delighted to create a custom watch for you. For the rest of us, it's a bit harder, but perhaps this post will help you get started.Let's start with the companies that exist to solve this precise problem.Dwatch creates dive watches with a cushion-case design. As far as I know, they only have one case right now, but if you want a diver that's a good place to look.121 Time offers more choices, with quartz or mechanical movements. More cases, more looks, good reputation.Moving up the cost scale, Golay-Spierer makes custom watches and?the results are pretty impress

Patek seal vs Geneva seal - Quality?
First off: I love my 5726 and so far have not had any faults that I have noticed or am aware of. However, like many other friends here on TRF, we have witnessed an increase of reported issues.Much has been said about the topic of QC at Patek and Mr. Stern's focus.Patek Philippe has stopped using the Geneva Seal and created their own Patek Philippe seal because they feel their watches surpass the quality processess of this collective. In light of the increased reported issues, one could think this not to be the case. The following thoughts popped into my head:What if PP was already aware of their slipping QC before the decision to stop using the Geneva Seal?Maybe the Geneva Seal organization was also aware of this and it could very well be that it wasnt Patek's choice to leave the Geneva Seal? With the increased production the QC appeared to be slipping at PP, ostensibly indicated by the increased reports of our fellow owners reporting here on TRFIn order to maintain and/or restore our con
Tudor Black Bay on an Everest Rubber Strap
Dear fellas,Recently I've bought an Everest rubber strap to my Tudor Black Bay, and I would like to share some impressions.I must say that I've read a lot before buying it and I was in the same dilemma that most customers searching for a rubber strap were: Everest or Rubber B? Below you will find why I've chosen Everest.First, the design. I think that the curved strap connecting to the case C instead of the drop-down style from Rubber B C and the line running until the end of the strap are two design elements that are simply beautiful. If you look close, the Oysterflex has a similar look: the arch connecting the case and the running line until the end, not fading on the strap.Second, the cost. Although the strap it's not cheap, the Rubber B strap costs $ 240.00 ($15.00 more) without any buckle. I would have to buy a Tudor OEM deployment clasp (which is very expensive and I don't like it, personally) or an aftermarket buckle. I believe that a customer who is buying a product such as
