My First Grail Watch: Bruno Grande Of JeanRichard
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch". In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with a gentleman who got his start managing the official timekeepers at all manner of sporting events, and today finds himself the COO at JEANRICHARD, living in the heart of Swiss watch country. Please welcome Bruno Grande. ?You'll find that his first grail is a watch we're all quite familiar with - and one you may even have in your own collection.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Bruno Grande (BG): I am a Swiss and Italian citizen. I love sports, I am married with two kids and live in a small village between Geneva and Lausanne. I started my relationship with the watch industry while as a student. I wanted to discover the world and I did so by managing the official timekeepers for many sports events (F1, T&F, ski,Motogp..
Cartier Santos 100 XL Rose Gold With Rubber Strap Watch Available On James List
Cartier watches are undeniably sexy and have an excellent brand image. Not always the watch for when you want something horologically interesting on your wrist, they are a great default watch for days you want something "simply nice" on your wrist. Still a jeweler in spirit, Cartier strives for that polished high-end look as opposed to being overtly avant garde. Conservative and nice is their main design drive. My personal favorite line in the Cartier watch collection is the Santos. The 100 XL is their larger version of the watch, the standard model is a bit small for my tastes. At 38mm wide and tall the square 100 Xl Santos does not sound too large, but as a square shape it is a good substantial size on one's wrist without being silly in size. Of the coolest versions is this 18k rose gold and rubber model. While it is very sporty, the black with gold look is beautiful. I love how the Cartier Roman numeral style melds with the hues. Really attractive with a timeless quality to itwatches
What am I wearing today? (on my wrist)
Glad you asked. The AT makes its first public appearance since I received it on Saturday.

Scratches on Submariner second hand?
I was cleaning my watch today and noticed what looks like scratches on the second hand. I'm curious to know if anyone else has noticed something like this on their watch. It's only really visible under magnification which I know is OCD but just wanted to see if this was considered normal or not. Was very difficult to photograph and definitely is not a reflection or glare. See photo below:
