Handcrafted Time ’09 Exhibition This Week in Bern
A special exhibition of handcrafted, complicated timepieces is being held this week at the Time Gallery, Brunngasse 58, 3011 Bern, Switzerland. Twelve well-known watchmakers and brands will display their timepieces: Vianney Halter, Miki Eleta, Pita Barcelona, Thomas Prescher, Romain Gauthier, Svend Andersen, Louis Moinet, Angular Momentum, Cabestan, Hautlence,and Mathias Fuchs. ROO yearmake 2007
Hi Gentlemen,To be honest, I don't know much about watches. I think this place is the best place to seek for comments & advises.I've been wearing a Rolex Datejust, a gift from my Dad, for many years, & now I want something casual for night-outs & am currently in love with the AP ROO now because of the style & the brand, but don't know much about it.I've just visited a local watch shop & saw the 1 in the attachment & I fall in love with it right away.The salesman showed me the the box & all, & it's made in 2007. The shop's replaced the new leather traps. & He quoted me $15k for this ROO. I have not made any bargain yet because I think this's not a good deal. I dont know...just a gut feeling, I could be wrong, so please educate me.My very first question is, with $15k, can I get a much newer AP ROO? if so, from where please?for $15k, can I get a same style but much better watch than AP ROO?I don't plan to sell the watch soon, however, re-sell value is s

Scammed on a Planet Ocean
Will address this in the bad guys sections as well, but thought those on the Omega forum should know. Me and at least 3 others (that we know of) have been scammed by Matt Z on Timezone for $1800 on a PO. He gets your $$, sends a package USPS with tracking to a wrong address, and then vanishes. We're working on the legal/criminal side of it at this point, but wanted all to be aware. I know what they say- always buy the seller.... but it still sucks to think you've done your homework and still get screwed.Bobps. here's my post from yesterday before I knew the bad news... Great watch! I'm jealous- I bought one 1 1/2 weeks ago from a forum member, only to have it delivered to the wrong city, so it was returned to sender (which makes me nervous, but I'm staying glass half full for the moment). Just was returned today per tracking, so hopefully it'll go back out to the CORRECT address this time and I'll have it by Tuesday- here's to fingers crossed!!!

Why make so many Datejusts?
I've been on this forum for a few hours now and can't remember seeing any Datejust threads. These watches are just not in play at all even as new relases, so hope Rolex take a good look at the forums and SM hype, and see they need to drastically alter production to suit where demand and interest really lies.

Stolen Rolex Datejust 116333 - Serial 541G0757 - Tempe AZ
My father's Rolex was stolen from a gym locker in Tempe, AZ. Please keep an eye out in case it comes up for sale.For anybody residing in Tempe, be very wary of keeping valuables in your gym locker. The responding officer has said there has been a lot of thefts occurring recently, in fact there were at least a couple other gym members that had items stolen today or yesterday.The box and papers were not stolen. I've attached a photo of the appraisal which shows what the watch looks like.
