The Best Patek Collection?
Thinking out loud... what is a great PP collection? Big? small? Obviously Kens is to die for, but what are those pieces that fit every occasion and life style? The 5970 and 5070 are a must? Or too much power and better have a 5167 and maybe a 5980r with a 5205 for dress events?Lets see what you guys think.
128 Days with my 8 month old BLNR
I've never been much of a stickler for this but many postings on TRF made me think: hmmm, how well is my beautiful BLNR doing in the accuracy department?I was stunned. I expected it to be great but, to me, this is insanely great. 128 days between settings (I had to change my 24 hour GMT hand yesterday because most of the U.S. went on daylight savings time and my home time zone jumped ahead one hour).Summary: 44 seconds gained over 128 days = ~ 1/3 of a second a day. Rolex Service Required in SoCal
Newbie to the forums here and have been enjoying the wealth of information shared by its members.I am looking for a reputable watch-maker to service by GMT 16710 (Coke Bezel). I came across a servicing center based on Pasadena, CA who call themselves The Watch Buyers Group -- According to their website, they have 11 master watch-makers who specialize with Rolex. Does anyone here have first-hand experience with these guys? Thanks in advance!* Disclaimer: I already did a search on the forums
