UTS Adventure Power Reserve Watch With Breguet-Like Inspiration
The watch above is the newer-ish UTS Adventure Power Reserve watch. UTS is a hardcore boutique tool watch maker in Germany, with a very dedicated production team and a small volume of watches made each year. It is rare that they release a totally new product, and for Basel World, that is just what they have done. The Adventure Power Reserve really don't look like anything else in their line up. In my opinion, is strongly similar to the below Breguet Moon Phase Power Reserve Ref. 7137BA/11/9V6. Minus the moon phase of course. Is that a striking dial similarity or what?Inside the Adventure Power Reserve is a manually wound Unitas caliber 6497-1 that has been modified with a power reserve indicator. It is a simple, but hardy movement. I would have liked to see a more complex movement for what this watch will inevitably cost. Steel Calatrava
I love the 5296G and was actually trying it on yesterday but came away thinking that I'd get a lot more wear out of a stainless steel version. Do you think we'll see a modern steel Calatrava?

Considering trading my GMT for a sub
So this is a bit of a funny story because I actually traded my previous watch (14060) for my GMT IIc. But after a few months I realize that I really miss my submariner. Not for added utility or anything but it just felt lighter and more comfortable on the wrist. I find that the new GMT is very heavy and has a much larger wrist presence than my 14060 had. I'd buy another 14060 but I have a hard time deciding what to wear with only three watches (GMT, DJ, Zenith), never mind adding a fourth. Do I try to find another 14060 or keep my GMT?
