Watch Display Case Organizes My Growing Collection
Big Project this weekend. My watch collection was turning into a mire. I had a simple watch case, a couple of watch winders, and an overflowing collection of watches that was organically taking over various parts of my living space. Something had to be done. But what? If you have spent any time looking for watch cases, winders, etcyou will know that they are overpriced, often of dubious quality, and typically not exactly what you are looking for. Alternatively, you can be wowed by Orbita's 40 watch winder cabinet, and then be awed and angered over its $50,000 price tag. What is a collector to do? Omega Stopwatch
Any information forum members have on this Omega stopwatch would be appreciated. I bought this watch sometime in the mid '70s in the Virgin Islands. It's been used primarily to time legs of NRA pistol matches. As you can see from the photos the plastic watch holder has faded from exposure to sunlight. The watch still runs perfectly. Does Omega still make stopwatches, and if not when were they discontinued? Any info would be appreciated.Doug
5167 spring bars
I had my 5167 strap adjusted at a PP boutique in London. The assistant there told me that the 5167 requires special spring bars in order that the rubber strap doesn't have a small gap between the strap and watch. Can anyone confirm is this is correct and where I could source some? Thanks.
