Frederic Jouvenot Automatic Chronograph Evolution Watch: Rotor On Front
Precious little is known (to me) about then new Frederic Jouvenot watches. I would know a bit more if I was able to properly read French, and because all the press information is in a PDFgood luck trying to get me to put all that into the Google Translate tool. Good thing that a picture is worth a thousand words, because these images say a lot. The new watches will be released soon - in Basel if all goes according to plan. You can see that they are all based around the same theme and movement, but in these images there are at least two cosmetically different models. There is a distinct retro feeling from the watches. Watch maker Frederic Jouvenot is young at about 31 years old and wanted to create something new (as all young watch makers who branch-off from larger brand often do). His new movement inverts the rotor of an automatic movement and places it on the front of the watch. From a mechanical level, the watch is nothing totally unique. A thirty minute chronograph in a bi-compax ori
New to AP. Looking at buying new blue dial RO
Hey everyone. Id really like to get a hold of a blue dial Royal Oak but know not a lot about them. From my understanding I would need to buy from a boutique with my nearest being in France. I did email them but they did not reply. Are these items on a long waiting list or fairly easy to purchase? Eg. Buying a sub vs trying to buy a Daytona ceramic. I have spotted a few models which appear to my newbie eye to be similar eg. Jumbo and 15400. 39mm and 41mm. Am I mixing a lot of things up here with new references and old? After reading these appear to be more delicate than SS Rolex models. I am careful at the best of times but how often should a new RO be serviced and what is the normal cost for this. Ive seen blue dial new unworn watches for 14000 or there abouts. Does this scream beware?Sorry for bombarding with questions. Thank you.
Incoming Moonwatch
Hi All,Having owned and subsequently sold a S/S Daytona that I could never get along with I thought I was done with chronographs. I've been on the hunt for a new piece and with all my other watches being Rolex was keen to have a look at another brand, I also wanted something on a leather strap as all my other are on metal bracelets. As such I started gravitating towards the Omega Speedmaster as it seemed to fit the bill; as iconic in the Omega range as the Submariner is to Rolex, stacks of history and provenance and looks great on a leather strap.Having tried on quite a few of the various moonwatch models I decided on the original 3570.50 and took the advice of a few of you guys and bought it on the bracelet and ordered the deployment strap which I had fitted.Having had the watch for a week now it's definitely an improvement on the Daytona, for me anyway. Uber legible dial, cool retro styling and love the manual wind feature. I would also say that at less than 40% of the price of the D
Vintage seamaster deville omegas?? Wrist shots please!
Hi everyone.Looking to add a vintage seamaster deville piece to my collection.Could anyone share some photos of wrist shots? Most of the vintage piece are sized around 34mm to 35mm. Do you find that too small? I typically wear 36 DJ and 40mm Daytona.I am afraid that it might look too small... but its so elegant!
Omega Seamaster problem!!!
Dear Friends....I`m owner of a Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (Co-axial , one barell) Today, deside to wear this watch after three months of comlete immobility. Before wear it , I winded it up about 40 turns.I went to friend`s house and sat there for two hours next to a sound box. Since then, my watch stopped working. The situation is this : when I move watch with my hand doing a circle, the second`s hand counts for 5 secs and stops. Is my watch magnitised? Now after two hours my watch running just fine!!!Any ideas????? Should I worry or not???Any opinions???Sorry for my English....Thanks in advance..
