Unique Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Gold 50th Anniversary Of 007 Goldfinger Watch Sells For $113,000
A one-of-a-kind, solid 18k yellow gold Omega watch produced in honor of the 50th anniversary of the James Bond 007 Goldfinger film from 1964 recently sold for 106,000 Swiss Francs (about $113,000) via an online Christie's James Bond auction earlier today, on September 17th, 2014. That is interesting because the amount is about eight times the retail value of the watch (even though there never will be a retail version of this watch), and it is said to have been the highest yielding item of the auction (see Christie's Goldfinger The 50th Anniversary auction here). The auction estimate for the watch was 8,000 - 12,000 GBP and it went for 70,000 GBP.Based on the standard Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial watch (hands-on here), the piece unique Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Gold for Goldfinger has a unique 18k yellow gold dial, with matching case and bracelet. Given that it is part of the Omega James Bond collection, you can see the "007" logo as the counterweight of the seconds hand

Calatrava rescued from the safe + strap question
This Patek 5196R has been in the safe for a long time but finally made it out into the light of day today. Thought I'd snap a couple pics before putting it back in the dungeon. Don't hear too much about Calatravas around here. This one is about 5 years old & has the silver dial, but I understand that they recently switched to a white dial.I used to wear my Patek all the time, now thanks to all the enablers on TRF I'm hooked on steel sports watches. Perhaps the white 5711 one day...Anyway, I'm on a strap kick thanks to my fellow Paneristi & am now thinking about a new strap for this one. Anybody have any suggestions? Would I pretty much want to stick with the Patek OEM straps or might there be some other good options? Is there another color or material strap that might look good with rose gold? Thanks!
It has been awhile but got my "first" PAM again
My collection hasn't had a Panerai for sometime now, but something about the PAM 389 made me jump back onboard - glad to be back!
Can someone source the tool in this photo?
Tried to Google but could not find the exact bracelet tool displayed in the attached photo. Hoping someone can help. Photo was found in a Frattelo article.
