Editors' Picks: The HODINKEE Valentine's Day 2016 Watch Gift Guide, Because Watches Won't Give You Cavities
Ah, Valentine’s Day, you either love it or hate it (mostly the latter). Here at HODINKEE we love it – okay not really, but we thought it would be great to bring you a selection of watches (in addition to the HODINKEE Shop picks from yesterday) that we think would be great for your significant other, whoever he or she may be. Read on for our picks. Sharing Is Caring C Arthur Touchot 1 OF 6 Here at HODINKEE, we love to share our love of watches. And what better way to do so than by sharing our watches with those we love? This Valentine’s day, consider getting a watch you and your partner can enjoy, especially if he or she doesn’t quite get your obsession with timepieces. At 39 mm, the relatively new Oyster Perpetual from Rolex will look great on both your wrist and your partner’s, provided she likes watches made for men – which a growing number of women do. This is a Rolex in its purest form, with universally pleasing aesthetics an
INCOMING!!! The Titan Beast
AP 25721TI from 2003. Yes, that's 15 years ago and it's practically fresh from the vault. Was very lucky to chance upon it and can't get it off my mind. Within 24hours and here it is. Mandatory wrist shot, on 6.5 wrist. The titanium material make the whole watch disappear on wrist, filling my heart with warm titanium feel The dial is multilayered and full of details. Petite-Tapisserie at center with Arabic numerals on flat surround, all in original blue hue. The 3 rings are in greyish hue matching the warm titanium color. And not forgetting the lume, it's super bright and best I had seen so far on AP.
Need tips buying my first Royal Oak
HeyI am buying myself a RO. I just want some input from people with experience.Currently I only have one offer, to trade my 116610 (fullset, 2012) with a guy and pay about $4700 to get a 15202 (no box, no paper) from 2004 but in very good condition. Service history unknown, so it might be in need of a full service. Is that a good deal? I was going for a 15300 at first but this is what I got at the moment. I don't know what I miss if I get the 15202.If this isn't a good deal, what is? Please help me and if you have tips where to look (some shop, dealer or anything) in Europe it would be great to know!Grateful for the help I can get!
Hypothetical Fun 1463 or 6239 (PN?)
If you were in 150-200 vintage chrono grail range - which would you get first?!With your heart? With your head?I think patek has a special place in the 20th century and a lot of interesting people wore patek chronographs. I also believe it to be objectively a finer watch - among other things i love the enamel print on the dial.
Thinking of selling PAM 359? Is there demand for this watch?
Thinking of selling my PAM 359 (I am original owner/purchased from AD). Is there much interest for this watch? I don’t see many listed, but not sure if that is reflective of the demand or the supply?
