Cartier Must Autoscaph 21 Watch Available On James List
Here is one of those interesting Cartier watches that you don't see very often. Out of production for maybe a decade now, this is a rare, true sports watch from the 'fancy watch brand.' Many of you might be familiar with the Must 21 collection from Cartier. The chronograph is probably the most well known of the line. Though the Autoscaph 21 is sportiest version around. An interesting mixture of traditional Cartier elements and a sporty look. Only thing that may prevent people from sporting the Autoscaph today is the size. Medium at best, the little guy is just a hair under 37mm wide. Then again, it is perfect for the modern lady if she likes it.Set in a steel case with a nice polished black stone cabochon in the crown, this is a Cartier watch all the way through. The bezel visually integrates into the sloped flange chapter ring right under the sapphire crystal. The steel on steel look is nice, but makes the dial look pretty small. Which it is. A design experiment if anything. Makes for
Looking to get an Omega...
I've been shopping around for a used Omega for a while now and have narrowed it down to either:Omega Seamaster Chronograph 2225.80orOmega Seamaster America's Cup Limited Edition Reference 2533.50.00 I am tight on cash flow right now so the used market is my only choice now not to mention how much these babies depreciate after buying new right? So what are you opinions? I like the Chrono with it's beautiful blue face and skeleton hands and have owned it before but the America's Cup has that beautiful white gold bezel and black face and those sword hands glow like a searchlight...Let me know what you think and which one you'd prefer!
Advice welcome... 372 - 587 - 422????
I'm leaning toward the 587 because they seem to be selling right around retail and I'm particularly drawn to the Marina Militare style but 372's are going for extremely appealing prices by comparison and the crown guard speaks to me a bit as well. The 422 would allow for sight of the second hands a bit more complex style though of course and its pricing is certainly a middle ground.... In my shoes which would you fine gentlemen pick as your only Panerai in the watch collection? I'm not a particularly dressed up individual on a daily basis I should say and my stature is that of a 6' Bodybuilder so none of them would be particularly large looking on me. Any guidance/suggestions are much appreciated - thanks for looking!
All these waiting lists have made me leave the watch world
Regret to say this, but the waiting lists on attractive models and talk about investment in watches makes me want to puke and have totally put me off from the hobby. i One guy off the wanting lists which should be good for you guys. To be serious don't you think this in the long term will happen to more people and hurt brand perception?
30th B'Day watch for my wife!!!
With my wife's 30th coming up ive been wanting to get her a nice watch. She is pretty excited with this Idea. We've visited a few AD's recently but none of them have the dial combos we want.So read between the lines with the color choices as all will be minimalist steel with silver dials. Choice one will be a Tudor style in 34 mm with silver dial & and fluted bezel.Choice two will be a Oyster perpetual in either 31mm or 34 mm in silver dial and silver sticks in the 34mm or in the 31mm it will be silver dial with pink sticks as that the only option in the 31mm.Few pics attached for wrist size. Thanks for your input.
