Chopard L.U.C. XP Ultra-Slim Watch: Thin Wall Clock Looks On Your Wrist
Slim watches are very chic right now. The diminutive profile on your wrist keeps the watch barley noticeable by the wearer. As fas as slim watches go, anything under 8mm tall on your wrist is considered very thin for a mechanical watch. Quartz watch slimness on the other handwell that is another story. The Chopard L.U.C. XP Ultra-Slim has a lot going for it. The "flat on your wrist" watch houses a splendid, just over 3mm high, Chopard in-house L.U.C. automatic movement with a power reserve of 70 hours. Such a long power reserve in this thin watch is achieved through having two (basically flattened) barrels. The 3.3mm of the movement is very slim for an automatic movement because of the added space the rotor requires over a manually wound movement. The watch itself is only 6.8mm high, and about 39.5mm wide. Next, the L.U.C. XP has that beautifully "size-less" look to it. Meaning that you could blow it up to the size of a wall, or evening building clock, and it would look good. Here you c
Saw a very nice AP ROO today...can't identify...help!
Hey guys, I saw someone wearing a full black (probably ceramic) royal oak offshore today with a leather band. The dial was black too but one or two of the sub dial was gold or was outlined in gold. It looked really amazing but I can't seem to find it online. Does it ring a bell for anyone here? Thanks!
Planet Ocean GMT 2013 bought! HELL YEAH!
I worked hard and long for the Omega planet ocean Orange Crono but after many days of talks..and frankly the unavailability of the the color choice for my time frame I bought the limited edition or so i was told Planet Ocean GMT instead! I'm so happy with my purchase! here are some pics of this beautiful watch.next perchance is the blue rubber band with white stitching! love the look of that but at 400 bucks with the buckle it may be awhile.
The Verdict and Chosen two.
For those of you that have been following my previous thread titled two have to go! Help me decide . I have made a decision.Out of the four watches I posted, I am keeping just one. The 5513.I have chosen to sell the 16570 (already sold) 14060M (already sold) and 16710 Coke.BUT!Yesterday I added a watch to make it my second. A K serial 16710 Pepsi with SEL AND lug holes. And a beautiful faded bezel and kit.I'm now happy to say that these are my two watches. K serial 167101975 5513 (I plan on selling insert and rivet bracelet in order to source period correct parts)From here I only plan to add after the house Reno's and wedding is out of the way! Unless I win the lottery of course :P (I have been toying with the idea of a $2k work beater but we will see)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
