ArtyA Son Of Sound: The High-End Guitar Watch
In the last year Swiss art watch brand ArtyA has transformed itself from extremely avant garde "creative" watches to something like this guitar head-shaped Son of Sound collection. The brand was once about just creating totally one-of-a-kind watches that combined the work of an artist and watch maker. The "piece unique" moniker was more a result of that production style versus an effort. For example if you take a steel case and "deface" it (as founder Yvan Arpa liked to say) with electricity and machines by hand, no two cases are going to look alike (i.e. "piece unique"). Thematically, ArtyA watches contained everything from fossilized dinosaur feces to human blood and actual butterfly wings.Meeting with Mr. Arpa is always (always) a treat. Omega Speedmaster possibly next purchase ?
I'm seriously considering making an Omega my next watch purchase and have been looking at a couple Speedmaster's I really like...... I am just wondering if anybody has any experience or opinion on these models..omegawatches/gents/sp...-date/32228000.omegawatches/gents/sp...ional/35725000I don't have an Omega AD near by so I would have to buy online or contact an AD for pricing. if anyone can recommend an online site or AD that would be good to deal with please let me know. Can you normally get a discount on an Omega ? All my other watches I managed to get a discount of between 20-30% and just wondering if its the case with Omega.Have a great weekend ! Dave

Incoming Aquanaut
Well not yet. Still 5 more days, but I'm finally getting a 5164A. After much consideration I decided to upgrade my 5167. I've been going about it for months. I've been on the brink of getting the 5164 only to pull back. But after endless hours of contemplation and comparing photos (you've all been there) I decided to pull the trigger. So my small collection will now consist of 3 watches. The blue 5711, white Daytona C and the 5164. I think it's a perfect trio for me. 3 different dial colors and 3 different complications.
