Ball Trainmaster One Hundred Twenty
Ball Watch Co. celebrates 120 years of accuracy under adverse conditions with the Trainmaster One Hundred Twenty. Combining a dressy look, a solid 18K gold case, and Ball’s trademark micro gas tubes for excellent nighttime visibility, the Trainmaster One Hundred Twenty elegantly combines history and technology. Find wallpaper and pricing inside. In April, 1891, 120 years ago, two trains collided head-on at the depot in Kipton, Ohio, in what became known as the Kipton Fast Mail train tragedy. Several people were killed. As the story goes, an engineer’s slow watch may have been the cause. The incident prompted Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad to enlist Webb C. Ball to investigate timing conditions and to develop an inspection system to insure such a tragedy would never occur again. This lead to the creation of the Ball Time Service, and to the implementation of standardized practices for pocket watch manufacturing to assure dependable and accurate timepieces. Soon pe
Van Ree Chrono DNA Watch
When I first wrote about Van Ree watches they had a cool concept and a vintage style design. With their second timepiece, Van Ree of Holland offers a more contemporary design to go with their unique concept. The DNA part of the watch name is not just a cool sounding buzzword, these watches actually do have something to do with DNA, your DNA.The new model for Van Ree is this cool looking Chrono DNA. Van Ree collects your DNA, and then uses parts of the genetic code on the watch itself. There is an imprint of the sequence on the rotor, and in acid base form on the periphery the back of the watch. For the Chrono DNA, I think things have been simplified. The graphics around the dial (as well as engraved into the automatic rotor) are meant to resemble the look of a? graphical DNA sequence. Not actually su
CK2998 bracelet fitting trouble
I purchased a CK2998 and separately a 1125 bracelet with 560 end links and for the life of me I can't get it installed despite using a burgeon spring bar tweezer. What am I missing, do I need shorter spring bars than those that came with the strap?Christian
New Addition!!!
I've been waiting a long time to add this to the collection. Not a Rolex, but will compliment my GMT-IIc nicely.
Percentage of SS allotment over overall watch allotment to AD
Spent some time talking to the AD today and he mentioned 1. Only 25% of any given allotment is SS models. 2. Only 1% of any allotment is Ceramic daytonas. He mentioned he has only received 3 dayotonas so far. The 25% rule seems believable, but the 1% rule I am having trouble digesting. thoughts?
