Seiko Ananta Spring Drive Watches
This article is about two things. First, about the very nice Seiko Ananta Spring Drive watches (yes they are available in the US), and also about "what you need to know about the Seiko Spring Drive movement." In addition to the Spring Drive version of the Ananta watches, there are also versions of the watches with in-house made in Japan, Seiko automatic mechanical movements. Though I am going to save additional discussion of them for another article. In a nutshell, if you don't already lust for a Spring Drive watch, you should. Let's talk more about the Ananta watches. The watches are important as they represent the first higher-end Seiko watches that have come to America in a long time. In fact, they are world market watches meaning that they are to be sold globally. The watches are based on the look of Japanese katana swords. No doubt you'll see this look all over the watch from the sides of the case to the hands, and the hour markers. Little katana touches are all over the watch, eve
Anyone else take this route?
Hey everyone! First time in this neck of the woods so be nice I have always been a Rolex and Omega guy. I recently acquired my first Panerai and as you can guess I have my heart set on a Royal Oak as my next watch. For lack of a better term, the Royal Oak 15400st has been sort of a grail for me, except unlike most true grails, I can own this watch one day. There are always Rolexes on my radar, but there is one watch out there that has a similar look to the RO, in fact along with the Royal Oak, it comes from the genius mind of Grald Genta. It's the IWC Ingenieur 3239.In the pre-owned market it can be had for more than $7k savings compared to the RO. The des

My vintage calatrava getting some wrist time
It was a beautiful sunny day so a good excuse to wear my 1943 vintage ref 96.
Does anyone here own a 42mm oro rosso Panerai?
Either PAM336, 439 (what exactly is the difference between these? They seemed identical to me when I viewed them in person), or 513?I have a 338 Titanium and love the size. The price (of course) is making me hesitate to buy a solid gold version of otherwise the same watch. Of course the 513 is not the same! These lovely shots are from the Panerai website:
