Ulysse Nardin Classico Manufacture Watch
It might surprise you to learn that the Ulysse Nardin Classico Manufacture will be the first watch in the brand's Classico?range?to feature its own in-house movement. The Ulysse Nardin Classico Manufacture is a simply styled watch, with a pleasingly restrained dial that features central hour and minute hands, a going seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock, and a small, round date window within the seconds sub-dial. Let's take a quick closer look at this new release. As expected on a restrained "Classico" watch, the hours are marked by applied thin gold lines, while 12, 3, and 9 o'clock are indicated by slender Roman numerals. All of the markers are applied, in contrast to the sub-dial surround, which is sunk into the dial. This multi-levelled approach creates a bit?more interest in a dial that could otherwise appear plain. In addition to the gold markers, the dial of the Ulysse Nardin Classico Manufacture is marked with small luminous dots. On the cream dial, these white dots are almost invisibl
Interview: The Shockingly Thin Piaget Altiplano Chronograph Explained By Piaget CEO Philippe Leopold-Metzger (VIDEO)
The chronograph is a decidedly difficult complication to produce – that much we know. After all, up until about 15 years ago there were less than a handful of manually wound chronographs in existence. Another great tenet of watchmaking is that of the ultra-thin movement, a specialty practically owned these days but nobody but Piaget. It was last December that we caught a glimpse of a truly extraordinary timepiece – the Piaget Alitplano Chronograph – a manually wound, in-house chronograph with fly-back mechanism and GMT function that was only 8.24 mm thick. As of today, this incredible watch is in stores, and we thought it was worth revisiting this incredible piece by allowing Philippe Leopold-Metzger, Piaget's global CEO, to explain it to you. 1 OF 3 2 OF 33 OF 3 The Piaget Altiplano Chronograph is currently in stores (as of this week) for $28,600. You can see more on this watch here, and stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for a detailed review

PO 2500 vs PO 8500 Comparative Review
Hello Guys, I want to start off by saying I am by no means a photographer but I did the best I could with my iphone and some indirect outdoor light. I purchased the PO 2500 in September 2011 and love it. Looking at pics of the 8500 model made me a bit jealous, so I had to go and pick up the new one, plan being to sell one of the two after wearing both. Below is a bit of a comparison of the two and my take on each.Side by side:The first thing that you'll notice is just how much bolder the face of the 8500 looks. The 2500 is very flat, whereas the 8500 has thicker indices, applied OMEGA emblem, and raised polished numerals, giving the dial an almost 3D appearance. Additionally, although it is hard to tell in the pic, the dial of the 8500 is much darker, the 2500 is a dark gray dial whereas the 8500 is a true black, though this comes down to preference (mine is towards the true black). Another detail that does not show through in the photo is the color of the lume on the indices duri
