The art of the thematic watch sale is a delicate one, indeed. In the modern era, the benchmark by which all other thematic sales are measured is that of the Christie's-under-Aurel-Bacs Lesson One: Daytona sale, where 50 watches sold, 50 records were set, and the final sale brought in a mind-blowing four times the high estimate. I was in the audience, and the room was really, truly electric – and not just electric for a watch auction, which as you may know, means very little, but like, actually exciting. This sale was crazy, and the results were mind-blowing – the reverberations of which we still feel today in the current Daytona market, two and a half years later. Since then, we've seen other thematic sales both by Christie's – Patek 175 and Speedmaster NYC, and another by Bacs in the Glamorous Day-Date sale at his new home, Phillips – but none seemed to capture the same excitement with watch fans, or bidders. I have been a big fan of Audemars Piguet for as long as I am a WIS. Every time I was in NYC, which is pretty often when my gf attended dental school in Manhattan, I would visit Wempe and the AP Boutique. I didn't expect to be an AP owner this soon, but here she is!

having owned my 15400 for few weeks and deciding its is keeper (for awhile anyway ) finally removed the plastic from bezel ..wow this watch really looks goodAs my other ap the bee has ceramic bezel never really seen the beauty of the ap steel bezel before...

Hello AllI am back in the Omega family and am very happy about it :)..I got the 2531.80, electric blue titanium on Ti Bond bracelet, automatic..it is a wonderful and very beautiful watch for sure...BUT, the real winner for me so far is its AWESOME light weight ..it is so light and comfortable, that I at times forget it is even there...actually, I wear my watch ALL the time, sleeping and all, so it is very important for me to have a light watch and yet a tough one, so this is the best solution I have come across as yet sorry it is almost just a tease to post without pics, but I sure will post pics soon too :Dregards,Asad
