AP strap problems.
Hi all,Since I have my CE diver and before getting it, have been wanting a rubber blue strap from the Navy, another member did it except he just took the black strap but I want the blue, purchased a blue one from another brand and it looks great, just the quality is not as great as the AP one but for 69$ it's ok.A few days ago I wrote the AP showroom where I got it, getting the answer that they are not compatible with my diver After having replied that they are compatible as I know someone who did it no reply I then contacted an AP AD in Paris, I got his answer today Man They are kidding!!!! He tells me no problem he says, but they want the serial number from my watch case, not the model, the serial, so that they can order the straps from AP, ok it seems in France we can't order like we want, and that really sucks when you know that in the rest of the world you can, didn't really care a lot for the black strap but I REALLY wanted the blue one, that really sucks, won't even loose my
Galactic Models--Blue different.
Hi All, I noticed the Galactic 36 blue dial is Gun Blue whereas the 41 is Metallica Blue. Has anyone seen these side by side?Do you have a dial in either of these 2 colours you can post a pic of? If you happen to go to an AD, can you take a look & snap a pic of either one? LOLThere are 2 AD's near me & neither have either of these in stock. The one saleslady & her co-worker brought out 2 watches, each with different blue dials telling me that the galactic was somewhere between this one & that one. Ya...ok. She seemed put off when I said I wasn't going to spend that kind of money & not see it. Idiot. Then I said...I can buy a Rolex for this money. She didn't appreciate the comment. I followed that up with, I was able to try on & visually look at the Rolex not have 2 salespeople estimate the colour of the dial. Anyway...just curious if anyone can keep an eye out for these 2 if they should pop in to an AD.
IN NEED OF OPINIONS -- which is better, 5726A + BNIB 5167A or BNIB 5980/1A blue?
Doubts, doubts....but at least here I can find some good answers My collection started with three Nautiluses : 5711/1A blue, 5276A grey and 5980/1A blue. Due to my preference of sport watches, I thought it would be a natural start for PP brand. Then I added the 5070R, wanting some more dressy choices.Last year, I decided to trade the 5980/1A towards the 5960P . I thought that would be easier to get another 5980/1A later on.Given the 5960P is both Chrono and AC, since I bought it, many doubts have arisen about having 5980/1A and 5726A.But soon after, both 5980/1A and 5960P were discontinued by Patek. I have now ordered a BNIB 5167A, planned to arrive in few weeks, but just found an offer that is bugging me. It has been offered me a BNIB blue 5980/1A , and on a direct trade on my 5726A ( bought DEC2012) plus the 5167A equivalent proceedings. Now, my question for you, gentlemen, is : which would be your preference on this? Given my collection now, and the fact of discontinuation
Rolex Daytona 116509
What are your thoughts on the Daytona ref 116509. Is is worth the high price tag being white gold? What are your thoughts. To me, its worth it. Does anyone here own one?
Incredible Accuracy with Datejust 116200
After the initial settling in period (around 2-3 weeks), my new Datejust is incredibly accurate. It is merely 5 seconds fast in 8 days! During the settling in period, it was running approximately 3 seconds fast per day, which I still thought was very good.I do nothing special with it and I do not baby my watches. I put it on around 7:30 a.m. after getting out of the shower and take it off around 11 p.m. at bed time. I rest it crown up.
