Omega Speedmaster White Side Of The Moon Watch
2015 is certainly the year of the ceramic Speedmaster at Omega - and we aren't complaining. This bright, white little number is the new Omega Speedmaster White Side Of The Moon. In 2013, Omega released the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon (watches-dealer review here) that was a surprise (and enduring) hit that put the newer Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Chronograph watch with the in-house made 9300 movement in an all black ceramic case. The Omega Dark Side Of The Moon was sporty, stealthy, and very sexy - quickly becoming "the" Omega to have, even for people who were not traditionally Omega fans.So what was Omega going to do with this success? Look to more sides of the moon, of course. Last year in 2014, Omega released the plasma-gray ceramic version of the Speedmaster with the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side Of The Moon (hands-on here). Note that the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side Of The Moon was initially called the "Lunar Dust." It naturally means that for 2015, we get the Omega Speedm
Chivas 12 Made For Gentlemen By Bremont Limited Edition Watches And Gift Tin
England and Scotland certainly had their fair share of global attention over the past few weeks, as the world anxiously followed?Scotland voting about its possible independence from the United Kingdom. With that said, a collaboration of a much different scale?has been in the making as well: English?watch company Bremont has teamed up with renowned blended Scottish whisky Chivas Regal to create a new, "Chivas 12 Made for Gentlemen by Bremont limited edition gift tin." Incorporating the?designs?and signatures?of?Bremont's founding brothers, Nick and Giles English,?this co-operation brings us a new?example of a?luxury watch brand's "blending" with a higher-end?spirits maker C not unlike that between Hublot and Johnnie Walker. This seemingly obvious?partnership is not without its excessive details, however. What brought?Bremont and Chivas into this venture is?an annual series of collaborations?between Chivas and British craftsmen, called "Chivas Made for Gentlemen" C which does make one won
Ultimate luxury sports watch?
I didn't really know in what section to post this, so decided to post here, what are the ultimate sport watch brands? There's Rolex of course but for me it's not a luxury brand, it's a middle high end brand, then there's Richard Mille, they could be considered the ultimate sport pieces but only one thing bothers me with them is the low WR, for me a sports watch should have at least 100m WR, apart their diver models the WR is 30m as I understand, at the same time even if the WR was 200m would you really go for a swim with a 100K or more watch? I think I would not. Then there's the ROO line, multiple choice of metals, sizes, 42 and 44mm, for me the best are clearly the ones with ceramic or cermet bezel, the unscratchable factor is for me very, very important, I got the full ceramic diver because I find it hot looking and the AP ceramic seems to be up to taking a beating and resisting it, I wouldn't have any problem swimming or doing sports with it, something I wouldn't do with my PP 5712,
Omega Seamaster 120m Model 2411.20 White-face
This is the first quality watch I ever owned. I bought about 15-20 years agoI bought it BNIB from Ross-Simons for about $1,200-$1,500 ( If I remember correctly) and I still have the grey leather box with a nice white pillow and the white outside box with papers and a Grey leather credit card holder for the plastic warranty card.I just sent in in for a full refurbishment as you can see from the photos it needs a little face lift :). It has always run perfect and has always mainatined very accurate time. I have probably worn it 95% of every day during that timeframe. It has truly been a Dress/casual tool for me.My plan is to use this watch as my dress watch and add either a new GMT ll or a EXP II (white face) as my very day watch. I hope Rolex can match the durability and quality Omega put in this watch !!!My photos aren't the best but I will take quality photos of the new reburbished watch when I get it back (I've been told by Tech Time about 6 weeks)I would welcome any comments reg
Airking 116900 should I sell ???
I have an Airking and Milgauss Black Dial and have to sell one. The Airking is less then a year old and growing on me but seems to be unpopular.I know its subjective but the New Airking seems to be unusual and a slightly less traditional Rolex but would appreciate other members opinions of the the new 116900 model and if they like it . If not what would they choose.I appreciate your response.
