SIHH 2010 Preview: Lange 1 Daymatic
For 2010, A. Lange & S?hne introduces the Lange 1 Daymatic with a completely new 426-part self-winding movement. This is the first automatic member of the Lange 1 family. The Daymatic dial mirrors the Lange 1 and adds a retrograde day-of-the-week indication. For those who wear their watch on the left wrist, this layout moves the time indication to the right so it is seen first as the sleeve is drawn back. The Daymatic is powered by calibre L021.1, developed from the ground up for this timepiece. The central winding rotor extends to the edge of the 31.6mm movement. Previous Commemorative Watches 1 OF 31 In 1989, Patek Philippe released a few limited edition pieces with an inscription on the case back. The most well known is the 3960, which you see above and below. This small time-only watch featured an officer's style case back and extended lugs reminiscent of an early-20th-century piece that resides in the Patek Philippe museum. 2 OF 31 A
