I started talking to him whilst carrying out the punishment shift of mopping the cells, making numerous hot drinks in styrofoam cups for the waking prisoners and microwaved breakfasts. I asked The old boy about his watch & he gave me a history about Rolex submariners & how he got his. I immediately decided I wanted one. The next 18 months I worked every overtime opportunity & each month paid it to my local AD. It cost 2160 (I think) & eventually I had worked for & owned my first sub. Then I fell in love, bought a house & under duress sold the watch to pay the stamp duty tax.History repeated itself & I worked overtime & a few years later
