15202 & 15400 wrist shot comparisons
Hi All,I have seen a few members here debating about the fit and sizing between the 15202 and 15400 on small wrists so I thought I would add a few shots that might help. I have a 6 3/4 wrist to put it into perspective. I found a very nice 15400 in the shop today and could compare with my Jumbo.Although the 15400 is quite a bit bigger in every way, diameter, depth, bezel and even the size of each bracelet link was a lot thicker than on Jumbo. That being said, it didn't feel out of place and, in fact, quite comfortable on my wrist as it seemed to hug around the wrist. It did add a bit of weight that may impact comfort levels when worn all day.To make a true comparison, I'd need to size the bracelet of the 15400 and give it a little wear time but first impressions were that I could probably enjoy the 15400 as much as I do the Jumbo. For the 15202, you get a smaller and more delicate version of the watch without a second hand and no screw-in crown and you pay a significant amount more for
OMEGA and NASA - by OMEGA Watches - Official Facbook site
Haven't seen this one posted here before. I hope it's OK. First a link to the actual article;by OMEGA Watches - Official on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 4:28amThe NASA testsThe story of how the OMEGA Speedmaster became the Moonwatch – the only wristwatch approved by NASA for all manned space flights – has been re-told often enough that it is sometimes difficult to determine where the history ends and where the myth begins. The true story, without embellishment, is so remarkable that it’s worth a trip back to the 1960s to re-examine how the Speedmaster came to be considered in the first place, the nature of the strenuous tests to which it and four other chronographs were subjected and finally, how it was chosen over its competitors to accompany every manned space flight since the launch of the Gordon Cooper’s Faith 7 mission as part of the Mercury program on May 15th, 1963.Chosen to competeIt all began in the early 1960s when two NASA officials anonymously visited se
Now what does it mean for the old DEEP-BLUE?
With the release of the new deep blue, what does that mean for the older MK1 version? Will it increase in value being discontinuedOr will it get less interest in light of the newer caliber?
Don't Buy A Gold Sub (like the 116619)!!!
Started out as a perfectly happy owner of a Sub-C.Watch for everything. Gym, or riding dirt bikes in random Asian jungles, paragliding in Nepal, 4AM in seedy strip clubs in Bangkok, afterparties in Budapest. Normal life and all. You name it, a plain black steel sub blends right in. Nobody notices. And you're not going to break it. (and if you do, so what ... laser welding & parts available for everything quite easily)But then one starts thinking (bad move as usual). What about something just a little ... nicer? More unique? A little more ... pop?Read up on options that would suit the lifestyle. Ruling out anything without crown guards, basically. GMT would be nice, lot of time zone changes. Or Sub just because. Poked the head in the door at various dealer in Hong Kong. BLRO eliminated, the black dial just didn't really do it in person. The rose gold Daytona though, chocolate dial. Wow. But that's a little too fancy for border crossings in Burma. Or anywhere. Then s
