Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref: 5065
Hi everyone,I have a chance to purchase a mint, complete set of aquanaut 5065 (minus the box I think - but the guy is looking for it). But it has all the papers, the rubber strap, and the steel bracelet.I'm wondering if anyone here can share an experience regarding it, how the watch holds up, what you like and don't like, and the measurement of the dial? I tried google (and still trying, but I can't seem to find one just yet). The price would be around 12k USD.Thanks!
Incoming / warning - four digit model
Gents,Pleased to report my latest. The 1392. My relationship has been long and frustrating with OP. I've owned many models and subsequently flipped many models, like all of them. I just love the look (crown guard / sandwich / strap options etc) but mostly wind up thinking they are too thick or top heavy etc. maybe this is the one. Thinner, I'd say maybe 3-4mm from 392. The blue seconds hand may be polarizing but I like it and don't think changing straps would be negatively impacted from a touch of blue at all. Vintage lume - whatever, I'd maybe choose the white from 392 if I had to choose but it's just not a deal breaker for me and the smaller case is the number one factor for me. I'm hoping this solves my OP dilemma as I really want one in the stable. Hope it sticks this time. Prior models owned for those still reading 164, 25, 359, 298, 392, 512, and 535.
Oh NO, what have I started!
Went into a AD for Audemars today looking to get more information about one of their pieces. I have seen Panerais around but never thought to much about them. The salesperson explained to me about their history and story and I decided to look a little closer, saw a couple of rose gold pieces which were spectacular, perhaps after a little research and some time with the brand they may be on the list. I was in a bit of a hurry and found this little gem, ended up leaving the store in about 15 minutes with this in tote. I have never spent so little time researching a watch or agonizing over the purchase. I must say it was kinda fun.
My time has come..
Gents, After years of waiting, reading and saving - first a downpayment for an apartment and now a DW (A Rolex of course)I started looking at the 116610LN, then a vintage 1601 and finally the 214270 - Cant really decided, and was hoping for a recommendation for a first Rolex. Cant wait to start my journey! Any input would be highly appriciatedCheers and enjoy the weekend!
