Watches NEWS
AP strategy
I've recently got round to thinking about APs strategy to minimise market flow by reducing manufacturing and moving from ADs to Boutiques. Whilst AP is not in the same league as both Rolex and Patek in relation to value retention these two moves could be positive news for those holding coveted models. My blue faced 15400 is now 3.5k more expensive than what it was 1year ago when bought new whilst Rolex prices have not moved and Patek have made reductions.I, like most here buy watches because I like them and I love my 15400. I cannot see any reason why I would ever look to sell but facts such as the above do offer some comfort not least considering the fact I lost 25% on my ROC 3 years back.
Speedmaster Pro help
Hello all,I decided I want a SP but when I started looking around I couldn't really find the one that smiled at me until I saw the Alaska project. I don't want to spend 5-6K on this one because the red additional case is of no interest to me but damn I love that white dial. Has there ever been a SP on bracelet with a white dial? I might be able to live with a silver dial but it seems that everyone I've seen with the manual wind has been black. Anyone know a ref number for a white or silver dial sp?Thank you,Ron

Patek Philippe Geneva Trip - 2013
I wanted to share one of the greatest experiences of my life, as one of fifteen collectors from around the United States to be invited by Patek Philippe for a week in Geneva to tour everything that is Patek Philippe. Patek flew us all Business Class to Geneva with hotel accommodations at the Mandarin Oriental, with a weeks worth of activities to follow. Here's a short and very brief synopsis..Day 1 - We arrived in the morning at the Patek Factory to experience Manufacturing/Hand Finishing and Grand Complications. We had lunch in Patek's private dining room with Thierry Stern and Larry Pettinelli. Following lunch we departed to the Patek Philippe Museum with a tour of the past and present watches. Day 2 - We departed to St-Imier to visit the dial factory. Following the factory we traveled to Montreaux to visit the Chateau de Chillion midieval Castle. Day 3 - We arrived in the morning to the factory to experience the International Service Center/Restoration Division as well as the Depart
