Hands-On: The New Rolex Daytona Reference 116500LN (Live Pics, Thoughts, Details On Release)
Now that Baselworld is three weeks behind us, we can take a minute to answer the questions you all have about this – the most talked about watch of 2016, and the one that you've been told already has a very, very long waiting list – you know, the brand new Rolex Daytona. We announced the watch's release on Wednesday, March 16th, and three weeks and 80+ comments later, it is still pulling in a ton of traffic. This watch is hot, and in this post we will cover the specs, the details, and give you our own thoughts on it after spending a brief moment with it in the Rolex booth. What's more, we'll give you an idea of when the first batch will hit stores, how many an authorized dealer might hope to get it in calendar year 2016, and how many people are currently on the wait list. The Basics 1 OF 20 Reference 116500LN is the second reference of in-house, self-winding steel Daytonas from Rolex. Here are the very basics that you need to know.
Thinking of jumping ...
Thinking of getting a 5164 and selling my 5167. Although I think the 67 is a great daily beater, I'm getting bored with it. Also, I don't travel anymore, but think it would be cool to have a complication like the 64. It's a thicker case and I can't read the date, so anyone who has done this I would be interested in your thoughts. Also, if you want to talk me out of it that's fine also ! I'm only looking at SS, not the RG piece.
How it's Made : Panerai
Found these videos on youtube and thought I would post them here.Apologies if they have been already.Love this show.Part 1https://.youtube/watch?v=60TG8bifcDcPart 2https://.youtube/watch?v=G8XmqcJhM18
118135 strap exchange
Strap on 118135 is too short, will RSC charge for exchanging of strap? Watch is brand new, bought only few hours ago...
Masterpiece turns 17
Hey,Long-time lurker here! I have finally settled on my next watch after selling my DJ last year and have decided on the Rolex Day-Date. I think the 238 on a YG bracelet will be a bit OTT here in London the majority of the time, the leather strap on the 138 is a great compromise.I cannot seem to find many on the 2nd hand market, what discounts do you think I could aim to get from an AD? Currently 16250 as per Rolex. Thanks!
