Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Yearbook Five Pays Tribute to the Duality of the Reverso
Each year since 2007, Jaeger-LeCoultre has published its Yearbook, a large-format, richly-illustrated book that draws inspiration from the latest activities of the watchmakers from the Valle de Joux. The fifth opus is dedicated to the Reverso, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the timepiece with the dual personality. Find images from the Yearbook Five and information about availability inside. The latest Yearbook presents images of some of the rarest, most emblematic Reversos as it highlights the duality inherent in the design. The swivel case was originally invented to protect the timepiece during polo matches, though from the earliest days the two-sided case went beyond its simple protective function. The back of the timepiece has been interpreted in a multitude of ways: personalization, adornment of the mechanism, second time zone, gem-setting, etc.Past Yearbooks have been produced under the gaze of Italian quick-change artist Arturo Brachetti, the pen of Russian journalist Eduar
The Limited Edition Bremont Codebreaker Now Available On MrPorter.com
In June 2013, UK watchmaker Bremont introduced the Codebreaker C a flyback chronograph with GMT function made in collaboration with the historic Bletchley Park Trust. We showed you the watch moments after launch, highlighting Bletchley Park's important role as the center of code breaking operations for the British Army during WWII. The Codebreaker incorporates a number of real historical artifacts into the design, including parts of the punchcards used for code breaking. Though the watch was made in very limited numbers, online retailer MrPorter has secured a number of Codebreakers to offer online starting today.? 2 OF 4 Only 240 steel and 50 18k rose gold Codebreakers will be produced. To mark each piece, Bremont secured five extremely rare punch cards from the Bletchley Park code breaking machine. Segments of the punchcards are used on the side of the Codebreaker's case, denoting each piece's unique serial number. Additionally, the crown is inlaid with wood from the flo
Discontinued Patek Models for 2018
Gents, Just seen the tweet that the following models will be discontinued by Patek:So what will and won't go up in value now that they are no longer in production?cheers
Aquanaut 5165
The 5165 is the 38mm rather than 40mm version of the Aquanaut with the same style integrated rubber strap. I think this was only produced for about 3 years. Given its relative rarity should one expect it to have higher values in the open market? I'm looking at a potential trade and have no idea what to expect.Any thoughts would be welcomed!
The Swiss only dial OWNERS thread
A thread for celebrating the Swiss only dial variation produced by Rolex circa 1998-2000. A distinction often recognized, but one not necessarily meant to signify rarity C just a neat transitional variation! What do you have?U series ? A series ?3-tick version with the straight S ?1-tick version with the curvy S ?Other?Lest we exclude anyone with a pre-1960 standard Swiss only dial ! ***Here's mine: A6 series, 1-tick, GMT 16710
