Talking Watches: With Jonathan Ward
Watch lovers come in all forms – whether it be news photographers turned Spanish-language talk show hosts, late 1990s hip hop stars, or just all around cool guys. Another form a watch lover might take could be that of Jonathan Ward, founder of Icon 4x4. For those who aren't familiar, Icon just might be making the most advanced and best all around SUV's on planet earth. This isn't us saying that, it's a well known fact. Jonathan Ward's Icon 4x4's are built from the ground up, keeping the vintage styling that we all love so much in the early Ford Broncos and Toyota FJ's, but now they are carbon coated, and feature absolutely cutting-edge technology. Icon makes just a handful of trucks per year – now with a waiting list over around three years for a new order – and they have become something of a calling card for those in the know. In off-roading circles, Jonathan Ward is a hero, but what many may not know is that many of the designs and mater
In time for the summer!
When the 2014 new offshores were announced, I was feeling kinda blah about it... I thought it was pretty minimal enhancements and thought I would probably give it a miss. Like many, I was expecting something with a ceramic bezel in the redesigned 42mm, kinda like the special Doha edition (v sweet!!!!)Fast fwd to beginning of April when they were launched. I got to view and try each one on (except for the white diver and new 44's). Same feeling, not impressed. I only thought the new blue dial with orange hands looked kinda sharp and sporty but still didn't really do much for me... It reminded me of the ROC blue and orange that came out a few years back but nothing more. However, little did I know that my subconscious was thinking the opposite. Long story short, I went back to the AD this past Monday to have a look at the new navy again. Well the rest is history! (darn you subconscious). Anyways, in time for the summer with this sporty new one! Trust me, it builds on you each
Damn ! I'm gonna do it...
Called and put a reserve on my first Breitling today. A Windrider Chronomat Evolution with black dial and SS/RG case and bracelet. Been staring at it for over a week and decided to pull the trigger. Won't get it till Thursday.
Aqua terra 41,5 coaxial vs explorer i 39mm

Datejust2 116300 on strap???
Hi everyone, looking at getting a white dial sports daily wear. I have explorer 2 black dial already or else I'd get the polar. I'm looking at datejust41, does anyone use it as a daily wear on a strap or is that just in bad taste?I've looked online and seems to be hardly any pictures of datejust41 on anything but a bracelet, there's a few on nice alligator straps and it looks amazing but obviously that's for dress..Any input or suggestions would be awesome! Thanks
